I think I'll treat him with the same dislike I had for Lewis. Although in the end Lennox Lewis got my respect more than I ever thought he would

He doesn't though, he's not even that popular in the UK.

    :deal

When Khan at 140 just eats up the punches, what will the haters say then?

Kotelnik landed 80 punches in 12 rounds with no effect, ok he is not a big puncher but nor were Limond and Gomez at 135 and they knocked Khan down with nothing shots.

Khan at 135 was badly weight drained, 140 is Khan's natural weight.

Don't bother with the General mate.

Stick with your ''Intelligent Nuthugger'' award and persona on the Brit forum :good

Must say though... Amir is never going to be Marvin Hagler, regardless of what improvements he makes :deal

I know, but an improvement, is an improvement. With other improvements like defence, footwork, gameplans under Roach, it all starts coming together.

His PPVs hardly do good numbers and somebody said the Kotelnik fight wasn't a sell out.

i was there i didnt see an empty seat. you got a good source

    1-what are his PPV numbers?
2-why are his fights on Sky Box Office if they make a loss?
3-why is Frank Warren so pissed off that he's left him?

Amir Khan's fights are not just fights, they're an event. If you doubt me go to MEN, Newcastle or wherever his fights staged & see or feel the atmosphere.

Fair enough, i was just going off what somebody else said.

The fights are on Sky Box Office because Khan wanted more money than he was getting from fights on ITV. The only way Warren could hold onto him was by setting up a PPV deal.

His first one was Prescott, and he's been slowly been getting built up since then, but I'd hardly say he's raking them in loads of money so far. Warren is pissed because he's built him back up and then Khan fecked off.

What has ITV signing him up got to do with anything?

I was at the Kotelnik fight and the attendance wasn't anything special at all, in fact they were closing down the cheaper seats and moving people forward to fill out the spaces, there was more for the Barrera fight but even that didn't sell out.

People were shocked when he was moved to PPV because he isn't a big draw, Warren claims he got close to 100,000 buys for either the Kotelnik or Salita fight yet the papers have been reporting Haye got 800,000 buys for his title fight and I wouldn't have said he was that big either compared to the likes of Hatton, Calzaghe, Naz or Bruno.

The thinking from Golden Boy is if he can crack America then he would gather a big following back home like the boxers I've mentioned, he hasn't got any sort of backing at the moment even close to those so to claim he's massive in the UK already is bull****.
