Why is Andre SOG Ward not a draw? Calling Ward fans

People who don't appreciate Ward just don't understand the game.

Fair enough, we all have our preferences and I do respect Ward's ability myself; he's a very intelligent boxer for sure.

However there are lots of fighters who have good boxing IQ and ring generalship, but they also put on entertaining fights.

Ring IQ alone just isn't enough to sustain most fans interest, which, as you mention yourself is a big reason why Ward doesn't appeal to everyone.

You can be quite amusing on occasion, but for the most part you're a real nuisance and your obvious ignorance can be tiresome at times.

And I'm no kid, I've been into boxing for well over thirty years.

I'm not particularly bothered that Ward got the nod over Kovalev, it was actually a pretty good fight and that's all I really care about.

I'm sorry you don't really understand Ward's game. Maybe that's why you find fault with it.

Although I would never consider myself an absolute expert I happen to know quite a lot about boxing actually. I used to box myself many moons ago.

And I do understand Ward's game; he's exceptional at what he does, but for the most part it's just awful to watch.

 

Ward isn't a concussive puncher, and isn't a sharp puncher. He often mauls opponents on the inside, and often pot shots his foes on the outside as well. Problem is in my opinion the lack of power. He will land flush on a guy all night, and the guys face won't have much damage. There just isn't much of a market for a lower power mugging, or a low power boxing clinic.

 

He has no flava, he's boring as **** personality wise. He's like Obama. Boooooooring.

 

There are a lot of guys who are doing it right. Don't trash talk show a lot of skill and get ko's...and aren't close to being a draw. Pac and Canelo sell. Everyone else has the same or similar problems Ward has.
