Why is Andre Ward's trainer racially insulting Chad Dawson? Intended or hype

That doesn't mean what he said was racist. Without looking it up, can you tell me the definition of racist?

Why do you think it's okay for you to generalize Black people? Generalizing due to race is viewed as racist these days. You're sounding a little bit hypocritical to me.

Maybe Hunter has a past beef with Shaw? It seems like the comment is more pointed at him than Dawson.

 

If you have to even think about not doing something, because I think it's unacceptable, then you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place. If Hunter feels that what he's saying is right, why should he stop? Because you don't like it?

 

It's an insult. But, it's not anything to call Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton about. If anything, he's trying to create division between Chad and his camp. More strategic than anything else. Don't put too much on it. I'm sure Chad understands this.

 

I'm saying Ward should know better. It's one thing if you don't have a white family member, let alone your mom or dad but if you do then you should be able to see through all this uncle tom anti-white man anachronistic thinking.

The white man isn't the problem. The biggest enemy of the white man isn't the black man, it's the white man. The same can be said to the black man, the biggest enemy of the black man is the black man. A black man killed Tupac Shakur. A white man shot JFK. A white man shot that Senator in the face. We have a common enemy.

 

Perhaps Shaw should have called him a communist?

 

Virgil Hunter is a great trainer, but he acts like an absolute ***** in the build up to fights. He does the **** talking so SOG doesn't have to.

 

Virgil just getting under Chads skin. Maybe he knows more about Gary Shaw than we do. Either way it was just **** talking, nothing to go home and cry about.

Yes it is all mind games...but I don't like it...I'm from the UK so your right here there is MORE of a distinction...Ward is mixed raced, his father who he loved is Frank Ward. Andre would never deny his background...so to me he is mixed...in the US maybe he is perceived to be a black man. I like Ward & Chad is cool too, but if people tell me Angel Garcia is a racist scumbag or idiot then so is Virgil Hunter...and I think he is a great trainer...

 

I honestly don't give a **** what you have to say. none of what you're saying really applies. it doesn't take away from the fact that what hunter said was way out of line, unnecessary, and an attack on someone who didn't deserve it because he's one of the sport's good guys. your pointless questions will not change my outlook.
