Why is Andy Lee still fighting 10rd bouts?

Because he hasn't fought for a title?

Title fights are 12 rounds, others are usually 10.

Does anyone know of non title fights that have gone 12 rounds just as prep? You know to get in those 'championship' rounds? I suppose they usually have some trinket thrown in to make it happen...

So theoretically Lee could of fought a 12 rounder to get his fight against Chavez Jr, even against a can in a warm up?

I think it would be a good idea to schedule a fight for 12 rounds even if its not a title or eliminator bout, I don't think any amount of sparring can prepare you to go deep for those extra 2 rounds without experiencing them for real.

 

Mayweather Mosley wasn't a title fight....

 

I am now an Andy Lee fan btw...I hope he knocks Chavez out....can't stand Chavez fake ass.
