Why is Anthony Joshua so stubborn with keeping his current training team?

It's the same with Parker, he won't dump Kevin Barry. loyalty is a great thing to have & I'm sure a big reason is that they trust their coaches. but this is the money business & Parker for sure needs to change - an also does he not embarrassed being seen with Barry and his ridiculous hair?

He was clearly buzzed and confused, as was evident from the questions he kept asking in his corner. Maybe someone like Atlas might have cut through that fog and gotten him back to his feet, but maybe not. Not everyone responds in the same way.

When your fighter is buzzed and out of it you don't start giving them complex commands. McCracken looked like he knew that and was just trying to get Joshua back in the fight any way he could. Once that was established, and if Joshua looked like waking up a bit then he likely would have started giving him more specific advice. Unfortunately Joshua was just too discombobulated to execute the plan and Ruiz sensed this and jumped on him.

Why would someone assume the team is the problem? I remember after Loma lost to Salido there were idiots everywhere saying he needed to get rid of his dad. It’s refreshing to see someone with the character to admit their own mistakes before blaming someone else. Joshua has always impressed me with his character.

That corner may not be gone but that hardly translates to job security. They are walking a tight rope and will remain so for awhile. And we have seen trainers fired at various stages so there can be changes a month before a bout. Or sometimes and additional body brought in a little bit before a bout which also screams a change is imminent.
