Why is ANTHONY JOSHUA Struggling to Sell Tickets?

AJ lost clearly two fights in a row. And casual fans don't know his next opponent at all

 

He's fighting a no hope in Franklin

 

Because Mr Feel absolutely destroyed Joshua’s aura he had over casual boxing fans while also causing Anthony to break character post fight and show his true colors.

The act has been exposed

 

I wouldn't underestimate matchroom to pull the casuals back in after this fight.

 

Hearn always used to smugly state, Matchroom wasn't interested in the views of hardcore boxing fans because the real money to be made was from the pockets of the sports casual market. And he was/is right. Trouble is, sport casual fans are fickle and like to follow winners. Joshua stopped being a winner at roughly the same time Fury started to tap into the sports casual market too. So many so-called Fury fans would have been Joshua fans before switching allegiance...

 

MAYBE. To a certain degree. Especially if Joshua scores a highlight KO. Which honestly I expect him to.

Only fight I’d be interested in seeing Joshua in is a Wilder fight. Actually a Fury fight would be fun too. But ONLY if Fury goes through with the Usyk fight. If he doesn’t… I won’t bother watching any fights of his to be honest.

 

Hearn won't care. He'll just move on to milking someone else. Not like he actually gives a **** about Joshua.

I think if he fights Wilder or Joyce after this easy ko, he will still pull huge number and if he wins he will be popular again if he doesnt **** it up afterwards with crazy comments.

 

It's a huge arena and prices are high

 

Most of his supporters were casuals who abandoned him after he started losing.

 

I had a look at the cheapest tickets available at the 02 for this fight last night... and there was a block at the back of the 02 still available, the cheap seats......

I think the poor sales are more than just people thinking Franklin isn't a good opponent. Franklin's a better opponent than both of Furys past two opponents, I'm looking forward to seeing how Joshua handles Franklin especially as he has a new trainer

 

Throwing Usyks belts out the ring and spitting on them wouldn't have helped him retain fans.

 

Joshua should have fought Hrgovic, according to many, Hrgovic is not good, but he is certainly better than Franklin and has more power to threaten Joshua, and that fight would also sell better...
