Why is Bernard Hopkins always at the front of every boxing conference

    I am not a fan of nor do I dislike Bernard Hopkins.

    But why the hell is this guy everywhere?

    In the Garcia - Matthysse conference he was sitting right next to Lucas, as if he was a part of his team, when he had nothing to do with him. Then at the weigh in he stood right in the middle of both Danny and Lucas when the photos were being taken, as if he was some kind of overseer.

    He tried to do the same thing at the Floyd Canelo weigh in.

    It seems like he loves the spotlight even at events that have nothing to do with him. I appreciate the fact that he's one of the old timers whose still active but he needs to move out of the way and let the young fighters have their time.

    I wonder if Ricky Hatton is still a partner with them..? Don't see him around any more

    The most overrated fighter ever, trying to stay relevant. Couldn't even beat Calzaghe on his own turf.

    I prefer Hopkins than having ****ing Ellerbe at a face off ! There is nothing more sickening than that !

    I'm not a troll. I'm at the MGM for the fight. He didn't beat Calzaghe and his middleweight 'reign' was against blown up welters against Oscar, Tito and a shot Simon Brown. Lets not forget 3 times against Robert Allen.

    I think half of it is that Bernard loves attention, and the other half is that he's great to have around for GBP because he's always ready to fire off interesting, sometimes controversial analysis regarding whatever's going on, which the press eats up.
