how is bradleys record at WW better than any of the top 5 WW ? he lost 2x to pac (idc he officially won, he got owned) and he beat jmm who hasn't beat ANYONE except pac . come on man, we are talking guys who don't even fight WW's for god sake
Marquez has only fought Pacquiao, Bradley, and Alvarado at welterweight. Bradley has fought Provo, Pacquiao, Marquez, and Chavez. Provo has ONLY fought Bradley at welterweihgt. The only real welterweight between these guys is Pacquiao, and he's a small one.
You're entitled to your opinion but I don't think his record is garbage. He has: - An official win over Pacquiao (which is part of the reason he has high official rankings). Very good. - A win over another highly ranked WW (JMM) who himself beat the #2 WW in the world. Very good. - Win over Provodnikov. Good - Draw with Chavez. Not great - Only lost a guy who is the second best WW who is also one of the best P4P fighter in the world. That's not bad. How many active WW's have better records?
Totally understand that. Just to me it's like Mayweather beating Pacquiao at 154, then being called the best at 154.
Bradley is overrated because of a series of robberies, gift decisions, and overestimations of his opponents. He should have lost to Provodnikov, tied with Marquez, and lost to Pacquiao. He's definitely a top welterweight, but this goes to show how a few bad judging decisions can dramatically raise or lower a fighter's stock. To see the opposite side of the coin, witness the career of Mauricio Harrera who should have victories over Danny Garcia and Jose Benavidez.
Who has ANYBODY beaten at welter? ELITE WELTERWEIGHTS 1. Floyd: -Cotto, Mosley, Maidana, Ortiz, Baldomir, Judah, Guerrero -Marquez, Hatton (not welterweights) 2. Manny: -Cotto, Mosley, De La Hoya, Clottey, Bradley -Algieri, Rios, JMM (not welterweights) 3. Bradley -Pacquiao* -JMM (not a welterweight) -Provodnikov (not a welterweight) 4. JMM -Pacquiao -Alvarado (not a welterweight) (LARGE GAP) Young Hungry Lions 5. Brook -Porter 6. Thurman -Guerrero -Chaves 7. Porter -Alexander -Malignaggi 8. Khan -Alexander -Collazo (LARGE GAP) CELLAR 9. Alexander -JSK -Bailey -Maidana (not a welterweight) 10. Maidana -JSK -Lopez (not a welterweight) -Broner (not a welterweight) Guerrero -Berto Lopez -Ortiz JSK -Berto Collazo -Ortiz Ortiz -Berto Berto -Collazo Chaves -N/A Malignaggi -N/A
Look at there resumes and see who has better than brafley apart from may and pac. Tell me who. I'm really interested to know
My bad, switch those two around. I just looked up how I scored them. Here's my card for Bradley vs Provo R1 10-9 P Bradley's round before the uncalled knockdown. R2 10-8 P Bradley getting knocked around but doesn't go down. R3 10-9 B Little action Bradley outjabs. R4 10-9 B Bradley moving and jabbing, getting the worst of it when he stops. R5 10-9 B Bradley scoring but not hurting. R6 10-9 P P rocked Bradley then rocked him again at the end. R7 10-9 B Bradley moving and popping the jab. R8 10-9 B Bradley running R9 10-9 B Close but I give it to Bradley. P looks like a mess. R10 10-9 B More of the same. R11 10-9 P Landing the Harder shots. R12 10-8 P Knocks down Bradley. p7 b7 And here's my card for Bradley vs Marquez JJM vs Bradley R1 Draw. Looked like an even exchange. R2 Bradley. Not a lot between them. Bradley busier + good flurry at the bell. R3 JMM. Not much to separate the two. Lots of dodging, blocking, and countering. R4 Jmm. Landing more and harder punches. R5 Bradley. Slight edge to Bradley. More pressure. R6 Bradley. Slightly busier more aggressive. Still not much landing for either. R7 Bradley. Marquez just didn't do anything. R8 Bradley. Getting ****y. Throwing a little more. Not a lot of damage, but Marquez being sluggish and inactive. R9 JMM. Finally moving forward throwing punches. R10 JMM. Doing a little more. Not much more than Bradley. Could go either way. R11 JMM Letting his hands go. Bradley Coasting. R12 JMM. Bradley on his bicycle. B5 M6 D1 I figure people gave Bradley the benefit of the doubt in the Marquez fight because he was younger and faster. They also might have been misconstruing Marquez' counter punching style as inactivity and scoring for Bradley based on aggression. If I gave the first round to Bradley it's still just a draw.
