I could give you Froch over Pascal and Dirrell over Abraham, but I have to disagree with Taylor against Lacy. Lacy isn't on Andrade or Bika's level.

The argument was that he was better than anyone they have beaten...

Well at this point Steiglitz, who Andrade beat, is probably better than the Lacy that Taylor beat.

Bute should be one based on reign and accomplishments he is the man to beat. There may be guys who can beat him but they dont deserve the rank til they do so. Shame how the super 6 is ruining the rest of the division. Bute should have got in. Now he is left with no opponents. How can he defend his number 1 rank or fight the number 2 for the vacant ring belt when they are all tied up. Funny how the super 6 is raining on Bute's momentum

It is ruing the rest of the division cuz the guys who arnt in dont get the big fights Bute is not in but Green is not. This tournament is great for the guys in it but us puts the rest of the division on hold and prevents Bute from becoming a great champion

Big BUte fan but i honestly can't answer the TS question.
I don't think there is an established no 1 right now.

    Bute will have to beat everybody else in the meantime;

    Bika - done
    Andrade - done
    Miranda - next up

Who is left? Stieglitz? Those who drop out of the super 6?

Most of his better options seem to be at 175lbs

Bute is not even the best SMW because the best SMW are fighting in the Super 6 tournament. Right now you can make a argument that Andre Ward is the best SMW since he beat the man that was consider the best SMW fighter in the world and also favorite to win the Super 6. Bute is probably sitting at number 2 or 3 and I give him those spots because hes a champion and he is undefeated.

Abraham had what, 1 fight at SMW?
Jermain had what, one or two fight at SMW?

    Both are/were in the tournament.
    Green is in the tournament.

How did you figure they were better than BUte at SMW?

I think it's impossible to say who the number 1 is at the moment, and as great as the Super 6 tournament is, because Bute isn't in it and he does have a legit claim to being the number 1, the tournament won't necessarily determine who is the best in the division, unless rumours of Bute potentially moving up to 175 turn out to be true.

He is a joke who holds one of the belts victim.

Andre Wards win over Kessler holds more legitimacy than Butes entire career.

This. The Ward and Froch have arguments I guess, but those arguments should get much stronger soon. Right now, Ward only has two good wins, and one of them is against the guy Bute is facing (which would be Bute's 5th best win). Froch is arguable as well, except that a lot of people thought he lost to Dirrell, so that's holding him back, and he was also a minute away from losing to shot Jermain Taylor.

If Froch convincingly beats Kessler, I expect him to jump to #1.
