Why is Bute regarded by most as no.1?

All the best boxers do have their fair share of fans and haters, but most if not all of those so called "best" have one thing in common, achievements. Bute has not achieved anything yet, so having him at #1 is ludicrous at best.

It's a joke, he beat Andrade,Bika,Miranda and Berrio.. can you honestly say anyone out of the super six with the sole exception of Green wouldn't beat all those men HANDILY?!

People can look like a million bucks, or look like they've been dragged down a gutter and knocked around by a gang of people, in winning fights. Bute has looked both, in beating Kesslers and Abraham/Pavliks left overs.

Of course you're right cause your just saying the obvious. Resume wise, not being in the Super 6 is hurting him a little but it's certainly not his fault.

Notice that from the post you answered to, what sticks out is the word "several" have better skills, as in many... :-(

Like someone said, Bute must be doing something right cause some here simply don't like him now that he's making a name for himself.

I personnally don't hate Froch. I find him amusing and not a threat for m'y favourite boxer.

1 thing i can tell you about Froch vs Bute is that Bute can back up Froch and he'll let Froch take the center of the ring only if he chooses to. Froch will find himself in front of a boxer that's more technical than him and who's punches demand respect.It will be an exciting fight but one that will go in Bute's favor.

Is the number of haters a fighter gets makes him no.1? No, of course. But I find it very funny how much people saying Bute is overated.

Your saying Bute is 5th, it's your call, I will not argue you. But from what I saw from all the fighters in the super 6, the only question mark for Bute in my opinion is the very slick boxer since he never faced this kind of boxers. So Put him first, second or third, in my opinion it's right now his rating. But everything is already said, arguments in favor or against Bute, so no new stuff here. I will not change your opinion and you will not change mine. So only future will tell.

Tell me, instead of using a moron hater sentence, how do you see a fight between Bute and Froch. What would happen? What would Froch do so well that Bute could not handle?

9 times out of 10 Bute would probably win. But I agree with the other poster that Bute has been badly hurt, basically out on his feet. So, to say that Froch wouldn't be a threat is ridiculous. You were wrong.
