You forgot about Dingaan Thobela. :bart This content is protected Message for the dumbs. I was ironic. Thinking of Bika
True and false. It depends of what period you're talking. Kessler's fights against Haussler, Sartison and Perdomo were not very impressive. Against Ward and Froch neither. That's a 5 fights stretch. Bad. Bute in his last three fights looked better than Kessler, even at his prime. I'm sorry but your man is shot. He doesn't have the real motivation anymore.
Dusting off Haussler in three, dominating Sartison 11-0 in rounds and inevitably putting him out on a stretcher wasn't impressive? Perdomo fight was his comeback fight and a tuneup, obviously he was shaking ring rust, but he got the job done. And he didn't look spectacular against Ward and Froch because Ward and Froch are A-level fighters, the level of fighters your man Bute has NEVER faced. He may not be at his best, but the reason he's not looking his old self is because he's fighting quality opposition, your boy Bute should try it out before you rank him at #1. :rofl:rofl:rofl
Kessler won against Sartison but technically, it wasn't the same Kessler than before Calzaghe. Ringrust? Howcome it has became worst fight after fight since his return? Kessler looked better against Calzaghe than against Froch, except of course for the win at the end. Are you implying Froch is better than Calzaghe? Kessler is shot, period. He was so awful against Froch, hitting air all night. His 1-2 has gone and won't come back. That was his main asset. And by the way, I would love to see a Froch- Andrade. You could be in for a surprise. Even a Kessler-Andrade NOW could turn to be pretty tough for Kessler at this stage. But go on, live in the past.
bute should have a loss on his record. even if you give him that win and consider him undefeated he still isnt near as good as ward or dirrell
Andrade would have no chance against Dirrell or Ward, but he'd give Froch and Abraham a tough fight. Maybe not win, but Froch gets hit an awful lot and he might eventually catch up with Froch and wear him down. As for Abraham, his workrate is low enough that he would lose all the early rounds to Andrade if he doesn't open up a bit, and Andrade's chin is good enough that Abraham might not be able to finish him late. There's little denying that (a) Kessler is worse now than when he fought Andrade and (b) Andrade has improved a lot since picking up Grant as a trainer, and I believe the Kessler fight was the first one where he had Grant in his corner. Kessler's not a good style for Andrade though either way. But the version of Andrade Bute fought was better than the version Kessler fought.
Kessler is slightly worse at the moment, but how good was he really? He was never the mythical beast people made him out to be, he's just fighting quality opposition, thus being CHALLENGED, something he never was fighting the likes of Andrade. Kessler whips on Andrade all days of the week, and you know that. There is no way Andrade would hold a candle to Abraham, I am sorry to break your bubble, he's not on the same level. I see him pressuring Froch but I don't see anything he can do technically to threaten Carl Froch, who is a very good technical boxer, despite what all yall goons say about him. Andrade - Bika however, could be a good fight between two decent journeymen. Journeymen that are inferior to 5 of the remaining 6 in the tournament. Perhaps Bute could beat on Green after he's eliminated and we can all say Bute beat a better version of Green than Ward and potentially Kessler beat? :rofl
No. Green for sure, and MAYBE Froch. I'm glad you're still able to laugh even if your favourite fighter is past it and will deceive you in the near future.
Try to know what a journeyman is before writing on boxing. So, Froch is a very good technical boxer. :scaredas: BTW, Andrade never relies on his technique. He just wears down his opponent. Since Froch doesn't move very well and since his power seems to be not so good against top opposition, he could be tired at the end of the fight. That's how Andrade wins his fights. I never said he would be better technically than Froch.
