Im not a calzaghe nuthugger by any means but he has never lost so noone has ever needed excuses for him

  2. He should stay in the light heavyweight division. He would be a bright spot and make a few attractive fights

I'm not saying Taylor can't punch, far from it, but to claim that he's the hardest hitting SM when he's done **** all in the division - is absolutely ridiculous.

  4. Calzaghe is definitely not the hardest hitting SMW

You mean Pavlik at 160lb is bigger puncher than Lacy, Kessler or Jones?

    Nice irony dude.

Pavlik, Jermain Taylor, Kessler are three of the best fighters in boxin today.

Of ocurse there are also Mundine (extraordinary underachiever), Bute (one of most talented boxers out there) and then we have the ache type of a slugger who may always have a big punchers chance in Froch, we have the most relentless pressure fighter in LMW and above in Andrade, we have undefeated Easteuropean diamond in the rough Inkin, we have the fighter who was called "the best German fighter in the last 50 years" in Germany, Braehmer (after a trip to prison and other problems he still needs to fullfil his promises he made when as an amateur he beat several of the fighters we see in our p4p top 20 today; we have other fighters with interesting stories like Lacy (once the wonder boy of boxing until he took on a little too much a little too soon), Larsen (35 years old an never been beaten unless you count a controversial points defeat to Ottke in Germany) and of course we have perhaps the most interesting Americans Peterson, Direll and Ward coming up through the ranks to be in this division as well. And we could go on. Very deep and very interesting division with a wide range really interesting fight possible.

    Stupid thread.

Calzaghe has never avoided anyone with genuine KO power (Jeff Lacy fight being one example). In fact Kessler probably hits harder than Pavlik at 168 and above, Pavlik's power is not really proven above 160 where he didn't really hurt Taylor at 166.

If Calzaghe and Pavlik both win don't be surprised to see it happen in 2009 for Joe's last fight.

Re-read the thread title and tell me one power puncher that Calzaghe has ducked apart from Pavlik which may still happen and its arguable that Kessler hits harder anyway.

    Thanks.

Calzaghe's old and has lost his power...which you conveniently choose to ignore. Doesn't surprise me though, as your posts seem to have a clear bias.:smooch

    Afraid of Tarver

He aint afraid of anyone mate you know nothing and Hopkins ducked Calzaghe in their primes everybody knows that.

Anyway the thread is about power punchers here anyway so this argument is pointless.
