Why is Calzaghe not being heavily critized for blatently ducking Pavlik?

He still could've been considered as an option if they really wanted to fight him, but his weight was definitely a good enough excuse to push him aside. Still there are many other names out there that he could've fought but didn't, if James Toney was an exception then what about the rest and why is he finally deciding to fight them now?

If you're gonna ***** at Mayweather for ducking Cotto, you damn sure better ***** at Calzaghe for not fighting Pavlik.

And that whole "He faced Kessler!" line doesn't fly here at all. Because that fight showed he can still compete at a high level against top competition...and Pavlik is a much easier fight IMO than Mikkel.

And this is from a big fan of Calzaghe.
