Yet another yank who can`t accept that there are good world champs outside of New york. It`s not your groove that you need to get back,it`s your insight into the world outside the great U.S of A.:rasta

The thing is though the clean living spiel is rubbish. He eats crap food and downs just as many pints as Hatton in between fights but because he's taller, naturally high metabolism, and generally good looking, everyone lazily says he takes care of himself etc. Calzaghe himself laughs at the criticism Hatton gets while he gets away with the same excesses.

not exactly true is it, hatton take it to the extreme, joe may enjoy himself but hatton often goes to far.

I think Hattons lifestyle will take its toll on him in later life. For your weight to balloon like that between fights is unhealthy.

never been in real battles, only good fighters he fought were old, when hopkins was 36 he would have spanked calzaghes ass... he did at 42 anyways, and jones 5 years ago would have been like fighting a girl.

Well, maybe Hatton is not as bad everyone makes out.

People are just going by appearances and Hatton is one of those people that puts on weight very easily.

I'd say Hatton is more excessive but I still think his personality and appearance take his lifestyle to a mythical level.

Hatton himself tells you about his extremes. Fry ups, curries, countless pints of guiness.
The regime hatton goes through to get into shape for each fight must take a lot out of him.

I think it's simply genetics. Some guys start to lose their talents earlier than other guys. Not something that one can control.

Genetics has a lot to do with it, as well as stress. For example, look at Jones' face and look at Hopkins. IMO Jones like an old guy (more wrinkled etc) and Hopkins looks like a young dude. Also, we dont know how other factors come in like stress of each person's lifestyle, in addition to how they react the stress and how they take care of themselves. Stress is known to be a big aging factor.

The Welsh have a stamina enhancing ritual thats been around for centuries. What they do is, is they herd a bunch of sheep near the edge of a cliff and they **** them in the ass at a frantic pace.

Hatton loses about 2 1/2- 3 stone for every fight, and Joe Calzaghe has been losing around 2 1/2 stone for every fight at super-middle. Joe walks around at just over 14 stone in between fights. Not a great deal of difference is there? Yet everyone goes on about Hatton losing twenty stone throughout his career or in the last six years or something.

Hatton is worse than Calzaghe but point is, Joe is hardly lives like Bernard Hopkins.
