Are you saying Jones has such a better resume than Calzaghe? Seriously? Who has he really beaten? He beat Hopkins, and Tony. He beat Ruiz, but I think if Pac would fight Ruiz I'd bet on Pac ;).
Not saying Calzaghe has these amazing wins either, but Jones record isn't much better. Oh wait...I forgot it's padded with American bums instead of Euro bums! Those fat, lazy, American bums are so much tougher those panzies from Europe. :patsch

Also, Cal doesn't have any losses on his record at the age of 37. Before Roy was even 37...he was shot, and getting knocked out by Tarver, and Johnson.
Face it. It's nothing to do with record. It's usually training, taking care of yourself, lifestyle choices, and how smart you are. Jones hasn't been in wars like somebody like Gatti/ Ward has been in! His record is not the excuse for being shot...It's just old age. Calzaghe is just exceptional.

To come close Joe would have to win a MW and HW title, which in case you don't know is more significant that staying in Wales or the UK and fighting the Thornberrys of the world for 10 years. 46-0, and 1 prime fighter to show for it. ****ing sad

Must be hard for the Americans to see a guy from the middle of nowhere in Wales going to America and whipping their legends.

It must be even harder for some sheepshagger from Scotland to figure out those legends were shells of their former selves

I think Hopkins showed he was a worthy opponent after that display against Pavlik did he not? As for Jones jnr i would agree with you he looked very one paced to me and no where near fit enough to cope with Calzaghe workrate. .

:patsch you CLEARLY have no idea wtf your talking about...

    1) his father...WITH NO TRAINING EXPERIENCE!...trained him...so his fundamentals are SERIOUSLY NOT THERE!!...this is evident in the fact that he slaps rather than punches, squares up with he throws flurries, and has horrible balance when countered during these flurries

    4) I have YET to see this ring smarts your referring to...I've seen two strategies deployed when he fights...pressure non-stop or pressure in'n'out...

    5) This HAS to be the funniest one...seeing as how he was KD by two very old men with a single shot...they weren't even flush shots...just single blows...His chin is quite questionable, but hasn't fought anyone able to catch him enough times to see just how good his chin is
