i dont believe his chin is that amazing.

id have to see him take serious damage to make that statement

The main thing is that Joe never spars. He is actually probably the only fighter in the world whose preparation for fights is almost entirely low-impact. This means that he is not wearing his joints etc. out nearly as much as other fighters.

He does spar. In the latest 24/7 show before the fight with rjj Enzo Maccaranelli was talking about how he spars with him and how sharp Calzaghe looked.

He does, but far less than the average fighter. Enzo has previously said that he thinks Joe physically is younger than most fighters because of that.

As i said in a previous post i think Calzaghe has had the longevity because he has pulled out of fights in the past when he wasnt ready to fight whereas other boxers would have went ahead with it.

seriously?! this ****in Brits man...they produce ONE ****in recognizable name in the MANY YEARS of boxing and they covet the damn guy like he's the 2nd coming of christ...

the greatest boxers are done and gone...and by the way it looks...there are no more honorable champions left at all...

we'll see what Pacquiao does...PW needs more fight...Cotto needs more names under his belt and redeem that loss to Margo

HW is being held captive by Klit bros

LHW doesn't have much left to talk about...mostly fading fighters and unproven up-and-comers

MW might be action packed but if the best don't square off with each other soon, itll come down to that "he was past his peak" ****...

    JMW is ****in lame

WW is where all the big dogs are...but we get stuck with stupid ****in fights like DLH vs. Pacquiao

welter weight still the best division out

    cotto marg pwill (tier 1)
clottey zab shane berto ( tier 2)
    cintron quintana collazo (teir 3)

welterweight is still the #1 division

I'd put Clottey up there as well, he would have a pretty decent chance of beating either of the other three.

But yes, WW is a great division at the moment.

Don't hate you sheepshagger...Everyone here knows that Enzo is a defending 30 year champ at sheepshagging and he's taught his son well

another point that i don't know if its been said in here. when you have incredible challenges ahead of you, you train your ass off, you overwork your body, and you overwork your mind. When you have something to prove and the opportunity to prove it to the world, you do these things that will shorten your career. Make or break, once you've done enough of that, its normal to let off a little.

Calzaghe has only had these opportunities recently. 2005 at the earliest and 2007 if you go with Kessler. Therefore it partially explains why now in 2008, he is still so fresh
