Why is Canelo getting a much harder time than other PED cheats?

I don't think he's getting a much harder time at all, if anything he's breezing through it all without a care in the world.

Fails 2 tests, WBC come out in support say he couldn't possibly have failed a test. All his nuthugger fans rally around him say it was just poor quality Mexican meat ignoring the fact we haven't seen any other Mexican boxers get caught for the same thing recently. Gets a slap on the wrist from NSAC and his suspension reduced because he was compliant, WTF!

Yes this story is getting a lot of attention but he's the biggest star in boxing right now that's to be expected, this is like Armstrong getting caught, or if Bolt had been caught, or Federer had been caught, so obviously it's a big story.

Then we've had revelations such as him never being tested in Mexico which suggests an even bigger conspiracy. The WBC's blatant support and bias too makes the story even more salacious. Clenelo now will be painted by some as the untouchable corporate cash cow who has everyone under his thumb.

I'm sure a year from now just like with RJJ, Povetkin, Fury etc, the sport of boxing will have moved on, most fans in the their ever increasing desire to watch big fights will conveniently forget or sideline the doping issue with the usual mass apathy as deep down we know the sport is corrupt from the bottom to the top and the sanctioning bodies won't do a thing to change that and we fans will just rather accept that and continue to watch these dopers fight instead of making a stand and boycotting their fights.

So we can ***** and moan about how corrupt the sport is, but in reality we are part of the problem as we continue to support this corruption through the power of the might dollar.

 

Why does Canelo get more abuse ?? Because he is shoe shine boy to DLH - that snake and ruiner of good kitchen utensils. If he leaves DLH then the ginger one's respect will go up levels.

 

I think one of the reasons is because it was just the last thing in a small list of controversies surrounding Canelo and that Golovkin fight. There was a weight issue, a scales issue, a gloves issue, an issue about a score card and an issue about the decision in general and then the drugs thing. One thing after the other bang bang bang.

And the thing with Canelo and the drug he has been busted for it really really fits the crime, with all Canelo's 155 business, making people drop weight and then coming in massive against them, people saying its an amazing ability to cope with such weight gains and losses its almost un natural some would say. Turns out it is unatural.

Mostly though people are still very bitter about how the whole 1st Golovkin fight went about and all this scandal has come about while we are still bitter so we are hitting with a heavier stick.Not to mention he is showing no remorse or sorrow and infact has attacked other people for mentioning it. Him and GBP and the NSAC and the WBC have played it down and played it down some more yet its one of the most obvious cases ive seen

When you're the face of boxing and all roads lead to you the hate will be very strong. ODLH knows this first hand, as does Floyd Mayweather. Team Canelo screwed up and sure theya re paying for it, but Canelo is only 27 and has more than enough time to continue building his already very good legacy.

It's like that old saying goes: "Haters gon' hate."

 

Cause he’s such a Diva and has been acting like he’s above every law for some time now,add to this the judges,hand wraps and the whole A side BS I get why he’s been vilified.

He deserves far worse then he is getting, his whole career is now suspect when you actually read about when, where and how many times he has been tested.

He has earned multi millions and there is (in my opinion) the very real possibility he has cheated his way through his career.

Canelo is a sack of turd and I can't wait to see him off the gear now, let's hope he gets absolutely ruined.

 

This. Ortiz got nine months, lost his interim title, and was fined. Canelo's suspension was a free pass and a few extra months to promote his rematch with GGG.

You forgot Floyd Mayweather jr. I agree all ped cheats should be banned for life. Clenelo has really got off scot free. he wasn't fighting till Sept anyway sothat 4 month ban is ludicrous. plus he's not getting further testing

imho Canelo is being given the same treatment as Floyd was by Bob Bennett & the NSAC. "Go ahead do whatever you want boys we'll cover your ass. Us commissions rule boxing we can do precisely as we want we are UNTOUCHABLE !!!!!!
