Not being a MW? Dude struggles to make 154, and seem's terrified of moving up (he'd benefit ten-fold from doing so).

Now, we can all say "Golovkin!", but is that really the reason?

Notice how Canelo training camps seem to start 3+ months before the fight? Soon making 155 will burn him out. Its utter ridiculous.

Its simple. Canelo cant beat a superior fighter his size. Its been proven. It shows you that they have no confidence in his skills. He needs the size advantage to win. Its very sad.

I am finding myself dislike Canelo more and more as this goes on. And I was actually a fan.

But this "Canelo Weight" nonsense has really put me off on being a fan. Not a fan any more. I hope Khan beats him, although I find the prospect of that happening very unlikely.

I dont get it, he cant possibly make 154 but hes completely comfortable at 155?

Just doesnt add up.. Either kill yourself and make the 154 limit or go to 160

he rehydrates to what most middleweights do which tells you all you need to know. the guy should move up.. maybe toe dip with 1 or 2 fairly easy fighters. no 1 is expecting him to face GGG in his first step up but he is prob under performing at 155 because he simply struggles to make the weight. i bet at 160 hed have alot more in the tank

The guy is the A side to virtually every fight and can't make 154 anymore despite his claims so he wants to drain middleweight fighter to keep his chances of winning higher.

It's really that simple. Golovkin should accept a catchweight of 157-158lbs because it'll be better for him to win the title against Canelo than to win a vacant belt. Better money and biggest name on his resume.

Canelos feet move like hes in mud,hes a heavy puncher but he lacks power for a guy his size and he has average hand speed. The minute he gets in the ring with a guy his size who can thump hes going to get hurt and hurt badly. I see absolutely no reason why he would beat a guy the caliber of GGG. Heck i think Danny Jacobs could beat him.

    Spot on point.

I agree that most would be receptive if Canelo was like: "I'm going to take on this top 10 (whoever) 160 pound fighter at the full limit to prepare for a GGG match." I don't think most rational fans would complain about Canelo taking a match at 160 to get adjusted and seeing how it goes.

But he's not doing that. He keeps pulling this BS which indicates he has no desire to move to the full weight of 160 if he can help it. All this talk about fighting GGG at 155 is just utter nonsense.

It's a simple request for Canelo: Fight a damn middleweight AT middleweight or drop the title. Stop pretending.
