Why is Canelo not getting more criticism for fighting Yildrim?

Canelo is actually doing what I wish most champion boxers would do. Fight 3 times a year with one of those fights being a warm up stay busy fight. Canelo consistently keeps is name in the news instead of fighting once a year and taking a long break and the only thing you hear about are contract negotiations

GGG only fought once above his weight class at a catch weight, against someone (Steve Rol even the shot Kovalev that Canelo fought would have flattened. Bag Canelo's resume all you want, in the end it is far better than GGG's.

But of course everyone ducked him. Excuses, he could have cherry picked some big names in higher division too if he wanted to. He could have cherry picked Lara in the lower divisions if he really wanted to.

Instead we the same old crap from his handlers mouth. I fight anybody 154-168, then nothing.

It’s a mandatory and he’ll probably fight again in May. If it’s one of two fights this year then it’s disappointing. If it’s one of three then no biggie.

Of course he did. Only after he was probably chastised for by Golovkin for being honest.

Here he is saying Canelo deserved it. First 15 seconds. And he has said it on other interviews as well.
Interesting how you will spin this Mr. Spin Doctor.

A subscription to an app that also shows Ryan Garcia, Anthony Joshua, Daniel Jacobs, BJ Saunders, Sergey Kovalev, Demetrius Andrade, and a bunch of other quality boxer's fights.

As a boxing fan, I'm pretty satisfied paying $99 and getting access to all these boxer's fights.

The whole point of being named 'Franchise champion' was so he didn't have to face WBC mandatories.

Then again, asking the WBC for consistency in their decisions is a bit much.

You're literally appealing to trainers authority. Many trainers have no idea how to score fights including Abel here. Even if he thought Canelo, so what? It doesn't mean anything as he's objectively wrong, as you are

Nope it was on a reddit interview after he'd split from Golovkin. Interviewer asks him who he thinks would win a third fight and Sanchez says "the same guy that won the first two fights, Golovkin."

Just trash all round post. How about you actually look into the context behind everyone one of Canelo's fights and how he is protected and stacks everything in his favour so he has minimal chances of losing... You guys are just easily fooled by Canelo marketing... Canelo is an overrated flat footed fraud

“This one maybe will hurt. Not because I’m not with him, but it [could] hurt because he gets hurt,” said Abel Sanchez about Golovkin in an interview on The Pug and Copp Boxing Show for the Athletic.

“It’s the most dangerous because you’re talking about a guy [in Canelo Alvarez] who is at his peak now and believes he can do the same thing to Gennadiy that he did to Kovalev. [Canelo] Baited and waited for that right moment, and it was destructive,” said Sanchez.

Kov was fighting a champion?? Even Kov himself laughed at people that thought he had a chance. Challenge Beterbiev & I might watch that

If you say so. For $99 I get to see Canelo fight, Joshua fight, Saunders, fight, Garcia fight, Kovalev fight, Andrade fight, and many other top talent fight...

If you think $99 dollars to watch boxing is too much then you probably don't appreciate the sport much.
