Lara lost a huge opportunity to gain new fans with his performance that night.

It's quite common for losing fighters to gain new fans if the performance warrants it. Even if Lara had gotten the nod, there was nobody that left a Lara fan that wasn't one to start with. A lot of people left saying they'll never pay for a Lara fight again.

The dude was so concerned about being knocked out by Canelo he knocked out his own career.

Canelo and Lara are never fighting again .

Oscar knows who really lost that night , he aint letting Canelo get back in the ring with Lara .

stupid thread, lara should give his money back to refund all the viewers, nobody wants to see that boring roadrunner again... and by the way i have not seen a single poll yet that has lara as the winner ... so even with his boring style he doesnt deserve sçhitt..
lara will never be on ppv again he had his chance and fought like a scared little bitçh..
and no other ppv fighter will have the balls like canelo to take on such a low reward high risk fight...

Close fight that could have went either way but, regardless of the fact that a rematch is very unlikely, I give Canelo credit for fighting guys like Lara and Trout. With his fanbase and GBP behind him, it would have been very easy to avoid taking those fights at all.

Plus, after the Lara fight, does anyone actually think the fans were queuing up to see it again?

Lara won that fight no doubt

Canelo should have 3 losses on his record

    And guess what?

    It doesn't matter.

If the results of that fight were swapped, and Lara got the decision, it wouldn't change a thing career wise. People would still pay to see Canelo, and no fan left wanting to pay to see Lara in the ring again (unless they were already diehard fans of his).

Dude KO'd his own career in what was the ultimate showcase fight for him.

Hey man to each his own from what I saw Canelo started beating that body and Lara started running. Hoping half way across the ring to avoid engaging isn't defense to me, blocking, slipping, & dodging punches is in order for that to happen you have to actually be in range. In close fights not everyone will have the same opinion but acting like it was some big robbery is false. I gave Lara 3 of the first 6 rds clearly and 2 of the last 3 the entire middle of the fight was controlled by Canelo and he won the 12th. We can debate rds but I doubt we'll agree on it again if a rematch took place I would have no problem but I personally am not interested. It seems like people are scoring Lara's constant movement and not actual shots landed if Canelo looked bad trying to chase him down then Lara looked worse imo with his running I'm a fan of skilled boxers and counter punchers but that wasn't boxing that was running.

Lara won 8-4, being generous to Canelo.

I scored it 115-113 Lara, close fight. A lot of those "body shots" from Canelo were hitting Lara's elbows if you watch closely.

    Exactly.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Anyway, the networks would NEVER again allow a fight like this to take place.

    No one would buy it.

Lara had his chance, and he blew it. He ran like a LIL *****!!!

I bet you would pay $99.99 to watch Lara vs Trout again.

    You can keep that ****.

You can keep it and lock it up, and never take it out again.

    That's yours.

    You love it.

You can keep it forever. They can bury that **** with you.
