why is canelo so scared of david benavidez ?

The WBC make most when Canelo wins so they do everything they can to ensure that keeps happening. It is simple.

The corollary is Canelo avoids dangerous fights and that means he doesn't fight the best.

Thus, the fans miss out on the best fights, which makes us frustrated. This is compounded by him saying he is the best which is blatantly untrue having been outclassed by PBF, old GGG X 2, and Bivol, who didn't need to use his size to make Canelo look second rate.

 

Benavidez isn’t an easy payday.

Canelo only fights people who come to lose, it’s obvious stuff..most of his recent opponents stick to pitty pattying, barely throwing hard punches, or looking to press Canelo. Benavidez even recognises this here saying people come to Canelo for money, not to win. Canelo is a huge fraud who just buys off his opponents

 

Canelo and Eddie are much smarter than their fans. They know Benavidez is a killer and a nightmare match up, and they likely knew it 5 years ago. They decided many years ago never to fight that man, and now its becoming obvious.

I don't think Canelo is afraid of Benavidez, I think he's looking at Benavidez as the next era (who will come in after he's finished) and he simply doesn't see the necessity of a passing of the torch fight.

(kinda like how Crawford is with Boots)

That being said Canelo definitely needs to fight Benavidez

 

Jeez Man The majority of boxing folk have lost all respect for Canelo just like they did Floyd who is getting a real thumping on the net. I counted 17 posts ridiculing him & his boasting he'd beat Sugar Ray & was better than Ali ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!! not one agreed with him

 

Yet somehow Benavidez can't sell water in the desert. I see all these stories and posts about this legion of Benavidez supporters but nobody buys his fights. What better way to build and support a star than to you know actually buy his fights?

 

But I thought it was Canelo alone that made all the $$$$$$$$$$ ROFL.
