The situation was so bad in Mexico back in 2017 that athletes were staying at hotels that didn't serve meat for risk of positive tests.

According to Food Safety News, a total of 54 people from six municipalities have fallen ill after consuming meat contaminated with Clenbuterol, a beta2-agonist used as a food additive in some livestock feed to promote muscle mass and meat yield. The practice is illegal in the U.S. and Europe.

Miller said that USCA strongly recommends increased inspection protocols for all beef and cattle imported from Mexico until confidence can be restored in the safety of Mexican beef products. An analysis last year by a Mexican university found that out of 106 beef samples, 52 tested positive for Clenbuterol residue. The residue quantities exceeded the maximum limits by the Codex Alimentarius.

That's about half of all beef samples tested positive for clenbuterol residue. So clearly this is an ongoing problem. This isn't my mental gymnastics. I'm presenting clear facts to you, you can choose to learn about it and become educated, or continue your crusade to label Canelo a drug cheat and ignore the facts.

The picture of him dining with Bill Clinton that week speaks volumes, because it completely destroys the idea that many argue that all his meals were prepared for him by his team. Moving the goalposts or whataboutism isn't going to work here. It's completely absurd to try to equate this situation to the Fury situation. There is not a well known meat contamination problem in the UK, and Fury's excuses were completely absurd, mental even. Fury had no valid excuse, Canelo does.

The farmer, Martin Carefoot, denied having provided the Fury team with the meat, insisting he was offered £25,000 to make up the story in order to aid their case.

Warren denied this, and claimed Tyson never knew him, but that's sketchy as hell. Why would the farmer make up such a story?

Tyson Fury could have easily just tried to convince Frank that the farmer is lying. How can we trust Tyson Fury the guy who was suspended for 2 years, made up the crazy wild boar story, has well documented mental issues, etc.

I think Tyson Fury's good for boxing, but he doesn't have any credibility when it comes to this story. And there's no way in hell you can compare his story about the wild boar to Canelo and clenbuterol. Canelo has hard backing by WADA, VADA and the drug testing community. Fury doesn't, and he's been accused of hiring an alibi to lie about how he got the meat.

That's not the way WADA, VADA and drug testing agencies operate. If that was the case, they would have not been randomly testing him to begin with, or would have covered up the positive test from being known to the public. VADA treats Canelo the same as anyone else in the program. And you'd have to be extremely deluded to think otherwise.

 

Can't compare him to other catched people outside of Mexico. Can't ignore the Mexico meat contamination problem that led to him testing positive.

Yes it's his alibi for drinking clenbuterol straight from the bottle.

This proves that CLENelo can't get enough of that clenbuterol marinaded meat. It's not enough that he chugs it at home, he has to go out and eat Mexican beef which everybody knows is dripping with it. **** him, it's his fault. Should have gotten an extra 6 months for stupidity as well. He could have brought a doggy bag FFS.

It is however a PED that helps lose weight (gee, all those years at 154 when he was actually a 175lb fighter! How'd he do it?) which helps a weight bully, and it helps with stamina, of which Canelo needs all that he can get. The perfect drug for him.

Only Shadow can take a case where a fighter knowingly eats meat that could be infested with clenbuterol and says it's not his fault, whereas another guy eating meat that is thought to be safe ... is at fault
