I think it's more to do with who would win H2H if they where the same size.

Froch is a beast, unorthodox as hell but he usually finds a way to win.

    I don't think he's top 10 p4p but I also don't think he's too far off.

It's also pretty hard to look dominant when you fight at the level that Froch has. He has fought the whos who of the division. Ward dominated Froch, but then he is a legitimate top 5 p4p. No shame in that.

Andre got a gift against Booner and funny you should mention Kessler, if this fight wasn't in Oakland he probably got DQ'd. Obviously Bute was so hyped up that even your good friend Ward was shitting himself to even face him in his hometown. That version of Kessler would've stopped Dawson inside 3 rounds :hi:

What regards to George, he is more proven than Rodriguez but yeah Froch disappointed big time in that fight. He was behind, but looked like he was coming back

Like i said both rightfully belong in the P4P top 10 :bbb

You mean Froch was willing to take on a highly regarded fighter, a fighter with very good technical skills, very fast hands, and KO power to head or body ?
Bute was also a massive favourite (go back and check these boards, along with some of the predictions from some very highly respected Boxing Journalists and former fighters ).
Bute had a 100% record (besides one questionable count, which he put right with a liver punch in the rematch) had schooled some decent if not stellar fighters, had shut out Glen Johnson in a fight where Johnson was afraid to engage for fear of being countered by the left to the body. The same Johnson who'd given Froch a hard fight for 12 rounds.
Its easy to rubbish a win after the event, and Bute was highly thought of prior to Froch busting him up. Froch walked through Bute and let his hands go, nobdy else seemed willing to take on that challenge.

Your bitterness towards Froch is clear, but please deal in facts and not opinion.

The win over Groves is in question,Groves did a much better job on Johnson & near stopped him.Froch I'd still have in the top 10 for now, once Groves has kick his ass he's out.

Bute was a huge favourite because most people were straight up ignoring the FACT that he should have a ko loss on his record before Froch ever got near him. Anyway my post is not to hate on Froch, it is to show that anyone's resume can be picked apart or overrated depending on what spin you choose to put on it.

So Bute can be seen as an undefeated, avoided dangerman of the division or as a protected, chinny hypejop who Froch and his team knew was as fragile as they come.

The thing I can't abide about Carl Froch and his fans is that he benefits from the opposite of Floyd Mayweather Syndrome, anyone that he shares the ring with suddenly becomes an amazing career and legacy enhancing fighter, and old warrior doesn't even have to a. look good against them or b. even ****ing beat them and he still gets all this credit, it's quite extraordinary.

Meanwhile the likes of Andre Ward are put down at every opportunity, no matter who he fights or how dominant he is there will still be those who say he only wins by cheating, he weight drained this guy or that guy was unproven etc. If Froch fought Dawson and Rodriquez and Ward fought Bute and Groves, the first two would become monsters in the eyes of Froch fans and the other two would suddenly become unproven hypejobs.

Groves payed the price for overpacing. I agree the stoppage was early but it was bound to happen eventually considering how the tide had turned.

If any Garcia shoud be in there instead of Froch, it's Danny Garcia imo. I think a pretty good case could be made to rank him ahead of Froch p4p. There are a few others as well but they're more debatable.

I think there was a good chance Froch was about to get the grand stand finish. We'll never know though.

Both fighters where cheated in that fight.

that's incorrect. Bute in fact gassed in the first fight with Andrade due to having a virus. not having a **** chin or being a fragile mess.

Bute saw things right in the second fight knocking Andrade out for the first time in his career.

and Bute is still the man that Ward wouldn't touch with a barge pole when it was offered to him. no, he let a real fighter do the business in a way he never could.

Froch is a P4P top ten. to have him outside of it is quite simply stupid. the man has one of the best resumes in the game.
