Look at his last performance if he does decide to retire! Couldn't get any better.

Well Groves hits harder than Taylor who had Carl all over the place long before the majority of his wars :conf

Great post. Froch is unlike some greater fighters than him, and he knows his own body and knows when to stop, he knows that fighting on now perhaps he starts getting knocked out, he starts getting hurt badly and the pay checks are not worth that. I respect someone like Froch as he advances in years than someone who ridicules themselves and gets blown away by fighters who would not last a round with them in their primes, now that is embarrassing.

Perfect time to retire after the Groves win. Plus he's nearly 39

Did Joe Louis stop after fighting Schmeling in front of 70,000? That's a BS excuse.

using Louis as an example only supports the OP, since Joe had retired at age 35, and froch is 38, 3 years ahead of him.

you destroyed your own argument, and you appear to be now calling your own argument, BS.

Less than 4 full years into his career and at the ripe old age of 24? :think No, I don't believe he did.

I guess maybe because he is getting older and I think Froch has been past his best for a long time even though he has scored some good wins.
When a fighter goes on for so long, people often dont notice when they are past their best.

Hopkins is the outstanding longevity fighter though isn't he, he'd make anyone look bad.

and joe fought weaklings for 10 of those years, so those years barely count - 1 year of froch supercedes those 10 years of joe.
