Why is Cotto/Canelo Considered a Big Test for Golovkin?

Cotto and Alvarez, aren't these the two guys who Mayweather beat already? Wasn't it argued on this board that Cotto was washed up, past prime, a shell of his former self when Floyd beat him?

Wasn't Alvarez called Green, slow, predictable, flat-footed, can't box, etc...when he fought and loss to Floyd?

But today, October 3, 2015, Canelo/Cotto fighting each other is called a superfight and the winner facing Triple G is to decide the real middleweight champion and likely top P4P fighter post Mayweather! So whats going on, did they all of a sudden get good again after Floyd?

Before they fought Floyd they were the Sh-t, after they fight Floyd they are the Sh-t but when they fight Floyd they aint sh-t!! Whats going on with perception and logic of today's boxing fans? They aren't considered worthy when they fight Floyd but they are called amazing when they fight anybody else!

Floyd outpointed them whereas GGG will mostly likely stop them both in brutal fashion if they ever fight. Moreover GGG will not need IV's and he will have a perfectly healthy T/E ratio while doing that.

Noone is saying Cotto is a big test...in fact most agree that GGG KO's him.
But GGG-Canelo at 160 is a very good fight.

These are middleweight versions of both fighters. Canelo is better now than he was back when he faced Floyd at 21. Golovkin will be facing superior/ larger fighters than what Floyd fought. Golovkin beats them via KO.

Are you talking about the Canelo who was drained and had to turn himself into a skeleton for the catchweight to fight Floyd?

By your rating of fighters, Ward has only fought bums. Let's take a look:

Froch (who according to you is a bum), because he only won by robbery v Dirrell and went life and death with Groves in the first fight (who according to you is a bum).

Kessler who lost in his prime to 'Zaggers (who according to you is a bum),and went 1 for 1 with Froch (who according to you is a bum).

Drained Dawson, who lost to Pascal, who lost to Froch (who according to you is a bum). He also lost to Karpency, who lost to Cleverly (who according to you is a bum)

Abraham, who got schooled by Froch (who according to you is a bum)

Bika, who lost to 'Zaggers (who according to you is a bum)

Smith who was KO'd in 2 by Groves (who according to you is a bum)

Ward has only fought bums according you :rofl:rofl

It's simple really. Just look at Bummyluvkin's resume. Anybody with a pulse would be a huge step up for him.

Canelo was about 166 lbs when he entered the ring against Mayweather, how is that drained?

    Weigh-in 153 vs Trout = Healthy Alvarez

    A few months later...

    Weigh-in 152 vs Mayweather = Drained Skeleton

What would USADA prove exactly that you can pay off failed tests or take illegal iv's because they will do their best to cover up.

:yep Canelo lost muscle mass to make the weight, the weight he came at during the fight was water weight, not muscle weight, BIG DIFFERENCE.
