My thoughts exactly. Too bad PBF "retired" instead of facing a pre-plaster blaster Cotto. I think Cotto could have taken PBF a few years back.

A light hitter at 154 doesn't make him a light hitter against a 147lber.. He shoulda regrouped, hopefully he won't follow Taylor..

I would assume your guess is correct.
I couldnt figure out any other way to put it. not to challenge the likes of martinez, williams, or even angulo.

There's not much drama surrounding him at 147 anymore. Now that the boxing public has seen him fight the best, we know where he stands. Because Mayweather hasn't fought the best, there is still drama around his fights. Drama sells PPVs.

Foreman looked such a fragile puncher on the Cotto/ Pac undercard- this should be a case of a risk free confidence booster for the guy- so I agree with much of the above. Does clinical win/ explosive knockout and domination of a, say 'Berto' give him another shot at the big guys? Lets not forget he holds a W over Mosley, something Pac/May don't have (yet)
I would love to see him comeback down the Hatton/ Morales route.

juss to get the belt prolly..i mean he'll be a 3 weight division champ if he gets the 54 title:good Why not? plus u get to fight in yankee stadium and YOUR THE FIRST MAIN EVENT AT THE NEW STADIUM..I THINK ITS HONORABLE FOR MIGUEL TO BE FIGHTING THEIR...

HE'LL HEAD BACK TO 47 FOR THE MONEY FIGHTS PROLLY OR STAY AT 54 AND DOMINATE IF PW IS MOVING UP TO 60 OR DOWN TO 47 AND SM IS MOVING UP TO 160...I SEE NOBODY BEATING HIM AT 54 AT THIS POINT ( AS LONG AS THOSE 2 DONT COME BACK)...SERGIO DZINZIRUK WOULD GET BEAT, I THINK CINTRON GETS KNOCKED TO THE BODY...NOBODY AT 54 CAN FU34 WITH MIGUEL..THAN AGAIN MIGUEL MIGHT NOT BE THE SAME

Im no hater - and I usually don't get into this **** - but Cotto is so over-rated on ESB its untrue!!!!! At 140 Hatton would have taken him apart, at 147, he WAS taken apart, by Margo. He is a solid fighter, with skill and power no doubt - but considering the **** Williams, Hatton, Calzaghe, Berto, Mayweather (to some degree), you would think that Cotto is some sort of super human - I just don't see it.

I could be wrong and will accept any other opinions - I just don't see it!

A very good schedule, though Foreman worries me not because I think he's great but Cotto will be very small at 154. He doesn't hit hard though so that should help. If he fights Berto after that that would be good because he wouldn't criticized for taking on a lesser fighter and it would still be a winnable fight. And maybe, just maybe, he can recover physically and mentally from the beatings he's endured.

Mayweather is the best at 147. Why has Cotto ducked him?

I'm concerned that Arum is trying to flush Cotto down the drain. Cotto is unlikely to re-sign with Arum and If Foreman wins a high profile fight like this Arum will be laughing to the bank. I'm guessing Cotto is going along with it because he feels he will win.

I think Cotto will fight Mayweather in the future. Cotto is still a name, certainly bigger than a Baldomir or Judah. And let's not forget Cotto also beat Shane. So if the fight is even close between May and Mosley there are many who would wonder if Cotto could beat Floyd.

At 140 Cotto was drained - Hatton every day, 147 Very VERY different story for me!
