its a good fight. sure, this isnt 2000s manny, but he is still a stiff test for anyone at welter and favored over most. he has the name, credentials and style to make for an exciting intro for bud into the big time.

pac should pass the torch to a good fighter like crawford. it is a good gauge for retirement or becoming legendary by fighting on at the top of the sport

I wouldn't underestimate Pac in a fight with Crawford. Pac is still dangerous and he has been in the ring with several masters of the game plus he is a master himself. I give Crawford the edge because he knows how to use his height and reach. However, if Pac hurts him like I have seen him hurt before then it could be all over.

Crawford is in a lower weight class than manny. How is he "bullying" a heavier veteran belt holder?

So crawford is a "gargantuan" boxer bullying the much "smaller" pacquiao

Thurman is a "nobody" who hasnt earned the right to face pacquiao (even though theyre in the same divison and thurman has two belts).

But jeff horn is a credible challenger?

A weight drained Amir khan coming off a brutal ko whos not even ranked in the top 15 makes perfect sense?

Broner who has no belt and no credible wins at 147 besides paulie is a "good fight"?

Oh and apparently they STILL want to drag bum knee old marquez ass out of reirement

    Lol. Pacquiao fanboys are ******s.

It's obviously a bad matchup for Manny stylistically, but he does carry enough power to hurt Crawford.

As some have already mentioned, Manny isn't shot by any means. He looked bad in the Mayweather fight, but he followed that up with easily his best win over Bradley and also a victory over a game Vargas.

I'm just not sold on the idea that he's shot. He was basically toying with Bradley for the entire fight, and Timmy is a pretty solid WW.

It's common knowledge that fighters in the smaller weight classes have far less longevity in the fight game... And Wlad wasn't violently one punch iced in the twilight of his career.

To beat an aged superstar, obviously.

Superstars don't fall off trees like leaves, so yeah, it makes sense.

On the other hand, Pacquiao looked good in his last two outings, whereas Wlad looked terrible in his previous two fights to AJ and had been out of the ring for 17 months unlike Pacman who's been active in the last year or so.

Wlad needed to fight AJ no more than Pac needs to fight Bud. It's called passing of the torch, something that's always good for boxing.

Cuz he considers Pac easy pickins at this stage of the game and easy pickings with a good payday is hard to resist. He also can't help being strongly tempted by the opportunity to humiliate a legend since opponent humiliation comes so naturally to him as evidenced by his most recent bout.

Because Pacquiao is finally old enough for him. He should have agreed to a Pacquiao fight a year ago. I think he was offered one.
