You don't think they are significant wins? That's dumbest thing ever. At least I think every win I mentioned for both fighters is significant. No one said anything about amazing. These are the standout wins on both of their resumes. I prefer Loma's.
Look at all the names at 147. Spence , Porter , Thurman , Pac, Ugas, Danny Garcia , Ortiz just to name a few. There some great fight to be made at 147 but Crawford is having non of it.
Russell Jr. You said Crawford's resume was better. So exactly how is Postol better than Jacobs? Care to elaborate? Not to mention Golovkin also beat Alvarez in the first fight according to everyone that knows boxing.
They're decent wins. Comparing them against other p4p fighters it's nothing special. You prefer Lomas that's your choice and I might even agree with you. My point is it's not that much better than Crawford's and I stand by that
Because his weight bully ass has forged an entire career on beating up on C levels and non-punchers-average punchers in his backyard who he often holds significant weight, reach or both advantages over and on the incredibly rare occasions he's actually fought someone who can punch or at least bang a bit at down at their natural weight class he's been badly hurt or dropped. E Level Egis can bang and he hurt and dropped him albeit it was predictably not counted by the home ref. And even though it was Crawford's third weight class, as with his fight against career welter Horn, he would've weighed more on the night than career welter Egis and had his obligatory reach advantage too of course. And Gamboa hurt him badly with a solitary right hand which had him doing a funny little chicken dance and his head foggy for about 60 seconds and Gamboa was giving away 7lbs in weight, 9'' in reach and has only stopped 2 of his 11 opponents up at 135 and is a natural 126-130 at best. To add a little more perspective. Gamboa couldn't even stop Darleys Perez at 135, that's the same Darleys Perez who Anthony Crolla aka Mr KO 28% KO'd in 5 a few fights later lol. Imagine the effect that Gamboa right hand would've had on Crawford if they both weighed the same as each other or if god forbid Crawford was facing a prime world class opponent who had a significant weight advantage on him and could punch a bit and Gamboa had 7lbs on him instead? We all know exactly what would've happened. Gamboa would've sparked him. But it's only 7lbs, doe lol Even leprechaun GRJ beat him up when Crawford tried to step up to him. GRJ cracked his jaw lol God knows what happens when Crawford faces a world class fighter who is bigger than him, in their prime and who can punch. His best win in 36 fights is Pity Pat Postol for goodness sake and even though he had 5lbs in weight on him and even a slight reach advantage on the Ukrainian beanpole he stunk out the joint something terrible. Josh Taylor matched that win in just his 13th fight for goodness sake And Taylor had only fought one world class opponent before (a past prime Vazquez) going into that one Had taken part in zero world title fights Had never been past 9 rounds before Was giving away 4'' in reach And would've weighed about the same as Postol Whereas, conversely, when Crawford fought Postol he was 28-0 Had fought 6 or 7 world class opponents It was his 7th world title fight Had been into the 10th or further 5 times including the full 12 twice Had a slight reach advantage over the Ukrainian (Crawford has never once been at a reach disadvantage in any of his fights against world class competition) And had a 5lb weight advantage over Postol And on top of that, as said, he spent the entire fight on his bicycle stinking out the joint like he was in against a murderous puncher. Taylor even beat one of his other best wins Horn in the amateurs Don't get me wrong, I actually rate Crawford highly and think he's a very talented fighter but I'm not going to be blinded by the smoke and mirrors or allow anyone to pull the wool over my eyes. Fact is his resume is pure garbage for someone afforded such a lofty ranking in the P4P top 10, let alone the supposed #1 according to many. Duh, it's much easier to be ''dominant'' when you're facing C level non-punchers-average punchers in your backyard where everything is stacked in your favour who you hold significant advantages in weight or reach over or at worst weigh about the same as. /thread Serge destroys
Undefeated Gamboa, Postol and Horn are at least on the same level as those wins. Of course Crawfords opponents become bums after he dominates and stops them, and Lomas become ATGs after he’s struggled with them. Fan bias is a funny thing. Crawford is the best, most complete and hardest to beat fighter in the sport right now.
Then why is Bud fighting with Brook who's had broken eye sockets???,all he do is hit them till Brook had enough.
Brook would be considered a good opponent for anyone in or around 147 except Crawford. You obviously hold him in very high regard to think an elite talent like Brook has zero chance against him.
Brook would have been a good opponent before the GGG fight,,,Bud knows his eyes are done in that's why he fighting him.
