Why is D.Dubois rated above Usyk by the WBA?

No idea, Dubois is a very limited boxer with ok power who lost against his first live opponent and his best win is Bogdan Dinu.

 

Corruption pure and simple.

But if I had to rationalize it, Usyk hasn't done anything significant at HW till now and he's 34 .

Dubois hasn't done anything special too but his legitimacy as a heavy is more than Usyk, lacks defense and experience though.

Another explanation is that WBA are plain corrupt .

 

I might compare with WBA LHW rankings.
WBA had ranked Bolotņiks #3 before his fight vs Buatsi. Now Bolotņiks is ranked by WBA #7.
I can't find who ranked in top 10 by any boxing org or boxrec Bolotņiks ever had beat. No one.
At least WBO and IBF looks that had dropped him out of their top 15 list. Yeah, he had beat in row 5 boxers ranked in top 50, 2 from these were undefeated and 4 had been declared as promising prospects.

 

It's hilarious how blatantly WBA puts random fighters into top 15 just because these bums are about to fight some ranked fighter.
Recently did it with Mike Wilson and now there's Mark De Mori who apparently is gonna fight someone not named Laszlo soon.

 

Well, I will not call for example Bolotņiks as a bum nor also as top15 material.
Bum can't beat in single row 25-1, 11-1 and 12-0 and 18-0 prospects while being underdog.
Of course he also isn't top15 boxer. Euro level gatekeeper type, might happen that will get euro belt ( already had? or still does have WBO Euro title ).
Like I think something maybe top 16- top 30 boxer.
