Why is DeLaHoya still classed as star when he's lost all his fights to genuine class

my point was that there is absolutely no shame in losing to those guys, especially when he actually won two of those fights and in the opinions of most people

He's certaintly one of the best boxers of the past 20 years....probably 7th or 8th I'd say.

He's beaten some very good opposition, and, as previously mentioned, the only time he has categorically been beaten is against Bernard Hopkins, in which there is no shame.

He is a multi-weight World champion, and was fighting guys like Julio Cesar Chavez early in his career. He was not brought up like Amir Khan shall we say.

Now, to his assets; a great chin, great boxing skills, a cracking left hook and a will to win.

Now, the whole Golden Boy Promotions argument is another thing, as is his (IMO Definite) 'loss' to Sturm, but, IMO, love him or hate him, DLH is a beast in the ring.

Still think Pacman's gonna win though. Honest. I will eat **** pie if wrong.

Delahoya got gifts from the judges when he fought Whitaker, Quartey and Sturm. Delahoya got robbed from the Judges against Trinidad, that's all. The same people who say he beat Mosley twice are probably the same people who said he got robbed by the judges against Mayweather.

I encourage all the Delahoya supporters to seriously watch his performances against Whitaker, Mosely and Mayweather. Eerily simliar is how Oscar was outboxed in all of those fights. The supposed punches that every Delahoya supporter says landed were all blocked shots on the arms. Take away Oscars dominant fan base in the crowds and these fights become much more quieter and one-sided against Delahoya.

Whitaker beat him up the worst out of these three fighters IMO and only against Mayweather did the judges actually take off their dark sunglasses, paying attention to the action in the ring. The judges couldn't give him the gift decision against Mayweather because they plainly saw that he was getting his butt whupped and they'd most certainly be on the firing line from the alphabet boxing commissions. If Delahoya got the nod against Mayweather, that would have been a much worse decision on the robbery scale than the Holyfield vs Lewis I fiasco.
