    See Mayweather, Floyd.
    See Holyfield, Evander.

More people have seen Kevin Barry get starched and win by DQ over Holyfield than saw actual fights at the 1984 games.

Why is someone creating this thread when you wrote a dissertation on how popular Wilder is in the WHOLE world?

Why are people not agreeing with you?

    Why are you wrong?

The only people not agreeing with the ESPN thread are a handful of guys on this board who bash Deontay Wilder every chance they get ... like you.

I don't see some groundswell outside this board of people going crazy over Wilder's rating on the ESPN poll.

The poll is posted everywhere every year.

A handful of guys who start threads every week on this site bashing Wilder seem to have problems with it. The rest of the world is fine with it. The rest of the world is fine with the rankings of the other 99.

    Just you guys here.

    Doesn't that tell you something?

This shouldn’t require any explanation really because it’s obvious. Ali(RIP) and Tyson both possessed extraordinary skills that quickly captivated the attention even of a passer by who doesn’t even follow Boxing. In addition to his extraordinary skills, Ali(RIP) had insane mic skills and an unforgettable personality.

All Wilder has is insane power and nothing else really.

Yeah it does tell me something, what do you mean by the rest of the world? How do you know 7.5 billion people?

How big is your social network? What is your data or reasoning for asserting the rest of the world agree with Wilder being most popular??

And for your information I am not Wilder basher, I have defended Wilder numerous times on this forum, and evidence is in my historic posts.

If you were more active you would have seen them, they still exist.

well, he is not a racist, nor a traitor, nor a ******. People love racists, traitors and rapists.... probably that's why they loved ali and tyson and they dont love wilder.

If Wilder fought Wlad, Povektin, Parker, and Whyte he'd be more popular.

to be fair, tyson denys it to this day. Its odd that he does, but it doesnt rule out that he is.

and harsh to call ali a "traitor", when the current American president is one too. There are far more fitting accusations to point at ali - being heavyhanded allegedly towards his first wife may be one.

but you are right that theres not much to hate about wilder.

The question is, "what is there to hate", isnt being asked directly.

Because Wilder acts entitled without fighting top fighters. Americans hate that and that's why he is disliked.

He doesn`t have anywhere near the charisma of Ali or Tyson, they were both one off`s there`s no formula for that kind of appeal, Ali matched his era perfectly and had his epic rivalry with Frazier, that will never be matched ever again.

The Bronze Bomber is obviously proud of his 3rd place.
