Why is Deontay Wilder not embraced in America like Ali or Tyson was?

yeh Evander does indeed walk around calling himself the Bronze Warrior.

Mayweather is famous for not winning gold, the bronze otherwise has no significance to him.

Personality and crap resume aside, Wilder just doesn't bother to invest in his brand. He's extremely lazy, and expects everything to be handed on a platter to him. Where are his appearances on talk shows, attempts to endorse something, anything? He goes quiet for long periods, has an extremely low-key media presence, talks up a big fight then fails to follow through. He's like an annoying pest rather than a bonafide star, and people respond accordingly.

Obnoxious personalities can become popular (look at MacGregor or Broner), and guys who fight no one can also become popular (look at KSI and Logan Paul) so there's really no excuse for Wilder. He's just lazy and clueless and is surrounded by people who don't want to put the effort in to raising his profile or have no idea how to do so.

People know that he's scared of rematching Dustin Nichols.

You can look into that more if you want.

What are you talking about? Plenty of people want to see him stripped of his belt, lose his boxing license, and be sent to prison for years.

Yep don't know how anyone can't see there's a distinct "OFF " gene between he and his brother.

His latest rant when asked by a random fan why he declined offers to fight Joshua was met with him attacking and using words like AJ Protecters just bc someone expressed he wanted to see the fight and even told the fan to become a boxer himself and make his own decisions bc he isn't going to give the fans that fight.

He's just pure garbage, I really hope Breazeale ends his lunacy.

I favor Breazeale to ko him. It isn't like Fury is any more credible or less delusional though.

Will you reply to my answer, or will you continue to cower away like a little *****?

How come Wilder is only WBC-champ? Why haven't he tried to unify? I mean, he had the chance when Martin had the IBF-strap and Parker had the WBO. Why didn’t he try to fight them?

Wait, could it be money? No, of course not. Wilder is (apparently to you) the most famous fighter in the world, and had no problem offering Joshua $50 million for a fight.

So I just need to know, from an Wilder-expert like yourself, why is Wilder still only WBC-champ? What about the whole “one name, one face, one champ” stuff?
