Prime Tyson would have him out in around, you couldn't describe a fighter better suited to slay Wilder

Wilder has mostly very good punching technique, he goes all in with no regards for balance. This works because not many people are willing to stay in the line of fire at the risk of taking one of those shots, instead they step away leaving too much of a gap to counter.

Wilder's punching technique for his knock out straights is almost identical to a javelin thrower for transferring power. Edit - on top of that he also pulls Price's guard down with the jab.

No idea how to post/embed gifs on here, so any help would be much appreciated.

Nice comparison, you're right the technique in those 2 gifs is very similar, launches himself forward, stamps the lead leg down then transfers that change in forward momentum through his arm.

Also just noticed, he pulls Price's guard down with the jab before launching that bomb.

Wilder ran away? You say that like your opinion is other than speculation. Just as easy for me to say Povetkin was on da roids and would have been crooked as hell over there in Russia and knowing that he used both of those as ways to duck Deontay. And good thing he did because Povetkin would have got ktfo, roids, crooked officials and all. There. See how easy? And every bit as credible.

    My opinion is fact:

"Wilder and his team have been in Sheffield, England, for the past two weeks training and adjusting to several hours of time difference. They were scheduled to fly to Moscow on Sunday afternoon but did not board their flight and were making plans to return to the United States despite having not heard from the WBC on the matter, a member of Wilder's team told ESPN.com. Hours after Wilder and his team skipped their flight, the WBC, having little choice with the titleholder preparing to return home, announced the fight was off and called it a postponement."

    1) Meldonium is not a steriod
    2) The amount detected was under the permissible limit
    3) He'd made no secret that he'd supplemented with Meldonium prior to its ban

Of course, Wilder's got no problem in fighting actual roiders like Ortiz and Fury when they're old or fat.

He does hit hard, hard enough to buzz you...

The follow ups are probably harder as most of them are pure full on palm slaps, and they hit the neck jaw cheek bone all in one blow, usually when the opponent is side on ducking and covering up, and they come thick and very fast...

    explosiveness

Techqniue isn't everything. You have to understand your body as a fighter.

If Wilder tried to fight under the normal framework of boxing he'd fall over his own legs and wouldn't make it.

He has crafted a very crude unorthodox style that simply works.

Fury is going to box his tits off for 12 rounds though

Ortiz didn't get beat because Wilder found home for his power. Ortiz got beat because he slowed down and gassed. His old body couldn't get him home to the decision and all Wilder had to do was finish him off.

one of the reasons wilder punches hard is because he loads up more than any boxer currently at heavy

wilder has natural punching power but it is accentuated by him throwing from the fences .

    this has been sucesfull .

its not oerthodox and coach would scream at you if you tried it but at 6.7 with speed and reflexes / wilder has got away with it

everyone on here pro or anti wilder can see the flaws and the power / i thought ortiz would make him pay for it and picked ortiz to win but wilder hanged tough and got through his big test flaws or no flaws and proved he is the real deal.

he can obviously be beat but he is dangerous to every heavy past or present.
