he should be glad he never got a bite at Wilder tbh. Wbc saved his house of card whiskers for a bigger payday.

Probably pissed off with the WBC (Wilder Bodyguard Council).

Whatever he % he gets, he certainly shouldn't be getting a lower split than bumsteaks mandatories like Stiverne and Breazeale got against Wilder.

Bare in mind between Wilder bouts 3 years apart, Stiverne went life and death with some bum, failed a WBC CBP test, didn't provide a sample to another and put on 8 stone.

Breazeale meanwhile had one eliminator against bin man Molina (who both had just been annihilated by Joshua, and Molina also failed his CBP test), which the WBC said it wasn't a final eliminator..until 5 months later when Whyte outhussled former world champ Parker to become no1 then decided the bin man fight was actually the final eliminator after receiving an envelope from Al Haymon.

Whyte meanwhile has fought in WBC sanctioned fights since the first Chisora fight.

Personally think Whyte is being quiet because he probably has a strong case against the Bodyguard Council with the arbitration and doesn't want to say anything publicly that would hurt his case (like we didn't hear a peep from Wilder while his case was ongoing).

Whyte always went on aboht how he could beat Wilder and tried to take the credit from Fury, which I always found really pathetic.

My personal view is that Wilder sparks Whyte early anyway. He has a significant reach advantage.

If Wilder can't get glass jawed **** bags like Eric Molina and Szpilka early, he ain't finishing Whyte early. In fact, if anyone is being slept early its Wilder when Whyte lands his left hook.

People go on about Wilders toughness in the Fury fight but he survived due to Fury being a sloppy arm puncher. Wilder was ready to be taken out from the 3rd round on.

You are entitled to your view, but you are underestimating how akward a fighter Wilder actually is to fight. He has a 7 inch reach advantage over Whyte.

Prior to Fury Wilder had also knocked been down since Sconiers in 2010, so he clearly has punch resitance - before you come at me with 'DURRR HE ONLY FOUGHT BUMS' crap.

    ARBITRATION

It is still ongoing and if it goes in Whyte favor, then he'll be entitled to 45%, which will change what Tyson Fury receives. Queenbury/Top Rank negotiated Fury fee prior to the purse bid, this ensured their side the flexibility to bid such a high amount because 29 million isn't really going to Fury.

Whyte winning the arbitration will throw a ****** wrench in Fury purse and one of two things will happen.

    1. Fury may decline to fight under the new term (highly unlikely)

    2. Queenbury/Top Rank may not be willing to take that financial hit now that Whyte is taking a larger chunk of the purse & could default, leaving the promotional right to the 2nd highest bidder -- Matchroom.

But Fury is the only fighter who is better than Whyte he's fought. The rest of them was mere road sweepers.

Whyte has the same wing span as Ortiz and Washington, and larger than Szpilka and all 3 of those was comfortably finding Wilder before he found them, and Whyte is a superior fighter to the lot of them. He'd land his vaunted left hook before Wilder landed his straight right and that would be that.

And if Wilder, Haymon or the Wilder Bodyguard Council thought otherwise, guess what? We would have already found that out.

    45%...

Whyte isn't worth a solitary fart more than the 20% he's been offered, and even that fifth probably adds up to a purse in excess of anything he truly deserves. Coddled wolf.

Number 2 happens in my opinion and Furys side know it. Their massive bid, which they cannot possibly generate whacks of a publicity stunt.

Wouldn't you be too, if you found out your last big payday was just around the corner and that it'll result in you being schooled and embarrassed from the beginning to the inevitable violent KO at the hands of an average puncher, most likely with the first clean shot he lands, which will leave you sprawled out legs and arms akimbo slobbering all over yourself. To be awoken several seconds later with smelling salts, then be taken to the corner, slumped over like a fat mess, looking all googly eyed and in a haze, which will be the basis of countless gifs where people superimpose Tweety Birds flying around you head, and countless highlight reels dedicated to your knockout losses become the stuff of legend, all over YouTube before you fade into obscurity to become a footnote on better fighters resumes?

I can see your point but on the other hand those fights weren't on PPV (as far as I'm aware) and certainly weren't $40m dollar extravaganza's like Fury V Whyte would be. Whyte must be earning 7 or 8 times more than those bums got fighting Wilder.

I reckon Fury is the biggest name in boxing, maybe second biggest after Canelo. The disparity between Fury and Whyte in terms of in ring achievements and drawing power is enormous. Fury is an A lister and Whyte is like a B minus.

He is 34, it is his last shot for a title match (which he has 0 chance of winning) and he is paid only $12M. $12M dollars is not enough to live a luxurious life till the end of his life.

If he could save at least $100M by now in his bank account, he would be happy. But it seems it is impossible to do it anymore, since he is 34 and doesn't have a chance to beat Fury and won't be paid more than $5M if he ever fights for a title again.

I think he wished he was 28 now and faced Fury for a title match with a better salary. For example, if he was 28 and was paid $20M, then he would save at least $100M until the age of 37, fighting once or twice a year, considering he won a belt at the age of 28. Then he would be a happy person.

Not a single casual knew who Stiverne or Breazeale was. Plus Whyte has fought about 10 WBC sanctioned fights including against Povetkin twice, Chisora twice, Parker, Rivas, Helenius, Wach and Browne

Stiverne and Breazeale had 1 between them (same as WBC drug test failures, more if you include the opponent in said fight) but was still gifted mandatories but Whyte gets offered less =. And let's not act like Fury is some sort of massive draw, his PPV numbers aren't that impressive

The reality for Whyte is that the money for nothing payday he thought he was getting to step aside is gone and now he’s fighting Fury. Whyte has said a lot of things about Fury over the years and now he has to back it all up on the big stage. Fury says lots of things about lots of his opponents but so far he has always backed it up .
