Why is drug use more or less accepted in boxing ?

In any other sport there are hefty or life time bans, and all previous titles are stripped from them, and rightly so.
Holyfield is looked at in awe for some of his performances and achievements but he's a known cheat, there's a good chance he was juicing his whole career.mosley was caught just to name a couple but it's rife, now stories of mayweather failed samples going missing and refusing to use vada after being so adamant about testing but he'll only use the one that has supposedly covered up for him.
    It's pathetic basically

Perhaps because boxing, unlike other sports, correctly recognizes that it is somebody's personal business what they put in their body.

in a way, if PEDs were allowed a lot of problems would go away. So, currently, the problem is that those who use them are considered cheaters and have an unfair advantage. Now what if they were just allowed? Then there would be a level playing field and whoever doesn't decide to use PEDs, it's there prerogative. In a way, i would like for them to be legalized as no-one can claim anyone had an unfair advantage (if they don't use them it's their fault) and also i bet there will be many situations where guys using PEDs would lose to guys not using them and the whole idea of PEDs being so great may go in smoke.

Between 2009-2012, the vast majority of this forum were against any additional drug testing other than what the lowly commissions enforce. The fans literally felt that anyone asking for drug testing was a coward. And then KTFO6 happened and it dramatically shifted to where it is now, where Pac fans followed their icons new wishes for testing all future opponents and only then finally all fans want more testing in every fight (until one of their favorite fighters declines testing, then they temporarily no longer like drug testing until the issue with their fighter is over and forgotten).

Boxing fans are more agenda-driven than any other sport I follow.

Peds enhancing performance isn't myth,a fighter who is superior will probably beat someone who is inferior who is juicing but doesn't make it any better.cheating is cheating and it shouldn't be allowed

Absolutely. I think people make way too big a deal about this ****. Who cares what people take? It's their business. I don't think it makes much difference one way or the other.

    :think
Imagine you opponent punches you in the face 50 times. Now he takes an illegal substance and is able to punch you 60 times in the face.
    There is a difference

U don't think it makes much difference having increased power strength stamina etc in a sport where your trying to knock someone out ?
    Interesting
