What has Duddy got against 12 rounders, any idea if this will be on TV? Perhaps BBC NI on the sunday?
I see Eastman is a 3 or 4/1 underdog. I heard Dunny was just a hype job...if that's the case then even this fading version of Eastman should not be that big.
.... Thats such an interesting point..... how many other 42-5 (37ko's) can match Eastman in the fact they have never been in one exciting fight.
Its not a title fight, so it'll be over 10 rounds, as was Gatti V Ward 1. Duddy aint no great shakes IMO, but still good enough to beat the shell of a fighter in Eastman.
Why the hell doesn't he fight at Light Middle then, he has a better chance of being world champ there than M.W
What are you talking about? Duddy is a big middleweight. His 6ft and turned pro at around 155lbs.Id hardly call that bulked up.His been fighting near 160 since his first fights as a proatsch
Duddy will be a gatekeeper at 160 but nothing more.He has a big following in NY and is a fan favoruite but his not polished enough to be a consistent titlist. He may pick up the WBO one day but not whilst Pavlik and Taylor are around.
I've seen a couple of Duddy fights and I'm far from impressed. Top 20 material, maybe top 10 but thats all IMHO. If he didn't have the NY "Irish" angle we wouldn't even be talking about him. If I can get 4/1 or 7/2 on Eastman I may have a tenner as an interest bet.....3/1 is a little tight IMHO.
All depends on which Eastman turns up.To be honest Eastman will get outworked and possibly stopped late again. His got alot of miles on him now and all he has left is his pride. When it mattered most he never got into that 2nd gear and spent the best part of his careers wallowing in medicority and beating up cans. What a bloody waste..
I agree, its worth a punt at 4/1 though IMHO. If Eastman has put the work in (big "if") it could be a decent fight. Duddy by late KO is my pick as well.
No but he is a big name so he will get a shot if he beats Eastman. I can see Pavlik and Taylor moving up so the M.W division would be wide open!
