-Yep, it was an upset as Garcia was an uknown from Latin America. There are lots of barely HWs who hit hard, that means nothing. Level of competition improved? You mean the car accident and weight gain there after. Norton also got some licks in himself before being stopped, it was a tough early loss that he improved upon.

-It counters the reputation that sluggers are always going to beat Norton. While oin the decline he also got off the canvas and went the distance with LeDoux, who could bang.

-Beside the point. We have no idea of knowing who really hit harder. As observers Kirkman and Morrison proved to be effective sluggers against the washed up contenders and journeyman they were fed. All we can say is they both hit hard but had similar vulnerabilities.

-What's the case for Norton's glass jaw? That he was Koed by Foreman and Shavers in his peak. Again, I state that he was walking through uppercuts from Holmes that normally put men down. Ali hit hard enough in combination to stop the sturdy Lyle and Bonavena, but couldn't put a dent in Norton. Vunerlable to quick starting elite sluggers, absolutely, but no glass jaw that is going to fold to anyone that isn't Foreman or Shavers level.
