Why is Eddie Chambers such a f waste

Eh, lamenting his potential isn't quite the same as overrating him.

Nobody calls him a great heavyweight, or says he has a chance in a Wladimir rematch or against Vitali.

He does belong at cruiser, but if he wants to fight heavy then him vs Chisora is really intresting stylistically.

 

Chambers let Povetkin out hustle him. And Eddie had him early on. Eddie let the pudgy Russian take the play away.
Somehow, Chambers gets a shot at Wlad , but doesn't even really try to win, just last, which he failed at as well.
Yes, he is a waste. But he's typical of the half effort heavyweights of today.

 

just because he's a small heavyweight doesnt mean he belongs at cruiser. He would get his ass "Chris Bryd" if he went down, getting his ass whooped.

 

Chambers doesn't have it together mentally as a fighter imo. He's lucky he's skilled cause that might take him somewhere he ordinarily wouldn't get if he were less skilled and had to rely on that mentally resolve. Cant see him doing much at HW, although with average fighters like Valuev, Povetkin, Chagaev having held a title, who knows.

 

Unconcious and laying across the ropes....yes that qualifies.

If he goes to Cruiser he could be something, at heavyweight while he is a decent contender he will never rise above that. He already lost to Povetkin and Wlad and he certainly does not stand a chance against Vitali either, I really wish he drops a few pounds (by the looks of it he could) and goes down to the CW. I am also a fan of his boxing and enjoy watching him fight.

 

Actually, the knockout by Vlad really scared him.................he has had second thoughts about boxing since then, it was a really bad knockout, I thought he was dead!

If we want to talk potential is Solis, he is so much better than Eddie that its not even close, Solis is example of throwing away talent, but even fat Solis beats flabby Chambers!

Chambers loses the weight and still nobody will shut the **** up about it.

He did look good against Demitrenko. He looked like a totally different fighter against Wlad. It would be good if he could put that behind him and get on with things.

His corner suck balls against Wlad as well. I think maybe it was half the problem for his poor showing. A new trainer and a new team I think would see him right.
