Russian Denis Inkin has pulled out of the scheduled WBC eliminator fight with Nottingham's Carl 'the Cobra' Froch.

Froch, who is in the shape of his life, was delivered the crushing news upon landing back in the UK following his first intensive international training camp.

At present, Inkin has notified his promotion team to tell them that he is unable to fight due to a 'virus'.

"Training has been immense, the timing, power and accuracy of my shots left me in no doubt that Inkin would be in serious trouble come March 29th... I feel bullet-proof" Said Froch today.

"The news came yesterday and immediately Mick Hennessy calmly dealt with the problem at hand by offering the chance to fight me, to every top name in the division. "

... , so did European champion Cristian Sanavia point blank. .... Also Canadian Jean Fruit Pastille he didn't want the chance to fight for the WBC eliminator either "

"Mikkel Kessler, who needs plenty of time to make the weight and is coming back from a hand injury understandably required more notice..maybe that can happen soon regardless"

As yet the show may yet be filled with a suitable high-calibre opponent or it may be decided to wait for Denis Inkin to recover from his 'mystery illness'.

So...Edison "Kitten" Miranda is afraid of The Cobra's power!:yep

    I knew it!:bart

yeah that's it. It has nothing to due with the fact that Miranda just fought a little over a month ago and Froch would be in a week and a half.

Your a moron if you cant see why Miranda wouldnt take this fight. Kessler has been off longer then Miranda why not call him out as being chicken??

Could also be because Miranda gains so much weight in between fights and he might not be able to shred it off in time (while staying in shape)

Kessler never said he could fight anyone, anywhere, anytime!:verysad

Kessler never said they were all afraid of him!:verysad

Kessler never said he was the best!:verysad

Kessler didn't call out anyone before being ready to fight!:verysad

Pantera did! Thought he was ready! Clearly not ready for a REAL fight...just for a "mouthing-off" hype-"fight"!:yep

B/c Miranda should still be in shape and training hard - but understandable, he has a big fight lined up for June vs. Kessler on HBO, so I don't blame him nor Kessler.

An it's also clear why Sanavia turned down the fight - Sauerland is promoting him and SEs curren future at 168, Karo Murat, is fighting Sanavia. He's a stern test for the German/Armenian, who he should pass without much trouble. Sanavia has also a bit of name recognition b/c of his fights with Beyer - so Murat can be developed into a main event fighter for Sauerland without much risk.
    -> That's the biz...

Froch is clearly a top 10 SMW. Miranda...it's still doubtfull whether he belongs...:yep

From the point of view of the SMW division: Pantera is the nobody, not Froch!:deal

No he should take Miranda's comments in contexts. No one reasonable believes that Miranda would take this fight a few weeks after one fight and a couple of months before a another big fight.

Remember when Miranda fans were making the argument: "Why does Kessler wait to fight Taylor or Wright in the future when Miranda is calling him out NOW? Because he's scared of Pantera!!! Kessler should fight Miranda first and then fight Taylor."

Well, why is Miranda waiting to fight Kessler in the future when Froch is calling him out NOW? Because he is scared of The Cobra!!!:deal :deal :deal

Miranda should fight Froch first and then fight Kessler!:bart
