Even if that is true, then why did they buy the fight? What kind of marketing is that, buying a product and then not promoting it because people might not be interested? If you buy it, you promote it, whether it's **** or not.

Plus, Vitali Klitschko's fights are always entertaining and the press conferences of this fight were pretty amusing as well. They're missing an opportunity here.

HBO and Showtime make their money off of people who subscribe to the channels through there cable services. It's about profit. HBO and Showtime wont pay German TV inflated prices so a handful of people in the U.S. can see this fight, nor will HBO or Show pick up new subscribers to see this fight. Cable companies are always looking for new subscribers. They certainly wont get it with Klit/Gomez. Get real. It's all about marketability and profit which there is neither with these two fighters which is why ESPN picked up this fight.

And.....? When did this become a discussion about WHY the fight is on ESPN? That doesn't even matter.

The people interested in the fight already know what day it'll be on. There's also no sense of promoting it against the much more popular NCAA Tournament.

Your market is already there...ESPN knows a certain amount of people will tune in to see it. They know what's there and what isn't.

the good thing is the fight comes on right before SportsCenter which just about every non homosexual male watches every day.

    This is HUGE for Boxing.

Because they are waterheads. Only a moronic "boxing fan" would complain about something like that. God save us if we ever get a big fight on Network TV.:admin

Reminds me of how some would take "pride" in the fact their fave was on PPV and NOT HBO. :-(

I'm too dense? You are arguing something that isn't even part of the discussion. You haters can't even comprehend a thread topic.
