Oh I'm caught up. But it appears that you're the one that was held behind. This content is protected This content is protected
Been watching boxing for a long time little boy..I'm not a part time fan, I know my ****... JUSS CUZ I FEEL DIFFERENT ABOUT WLAD AND VITALI THAN U IMA HATER AND ALL THIS BS...IVE SEEN YOU SCHOOLED MANY TIMES ON ESB...:rofl
Wow. I must admit that I am personally crushed after reading that. Hopefully, one day... I might possibly find the strength to pick up the pieces of my shattered soul and move forward with life.
Yeah, Peter/Chambers I feel might be an even better fight to watch and thats getting no attention as well. I still give ESPN credit for picking up these fights, it gives the average fight fan a chance to watch 2 quality Heavyweight fights, it's just sad that only the harcore fans, that are in the know, will be the only ones watching. I just hope ESPN throws some comercial on the day before the fight or something, it would be nice to see more fans come back to boxing.
GOOD 4 U...BUT WE ON A BOXING FORUM...WHEN IT COMES TO BOXING IM NOT SURE HOW KNOWLEDGABLE U R CUZ THE ONLY THING U POST ON IS THE KLITS....I NEVER SEE U POSTING ON ANY OTHER DIVISION OTHER THAN THE HW..I FOLLOW EM ALL LITTLE BOY RIGHT ON DOWN TO CALDERON...:smoke
I think its a great move.. better exposure to the US fan base... **** HBO and Showtime.. Its a very smart move IMO So if its not HBO or Showtime PPV.. the fighters suck? WOW
Nobody is arguing against marketing. You're putting an argument there that doesn't fit. I just see why ESPN isn't pushing this fight like crazy. They have a TIGHT budget for boxing...chances are they probably went over that in getting Chambers, Sam Peter, JCG and Vitali all in the same month. Marketing it will probably burn more than what they DON'T HAVE at this point. They already understand who will tune in and who won't. They probably would have to pay Showtime or HBO for the rights to use their footage to hype it (seeing as how JCG and Vitali haven't fought on ESPN in god knows how long). On top of that, March Madness will probably eat up half their viewers. Try seeing it from the entire view.
Hell yeah. I love that fact that ESPN picked these fights up. It's awesome for us boxing fans who follow the sport so closely and always know what fight is on which channel. However, from the standpoint as a fan of this sport... I really wish ESPN did a better job of reaching those viewers out there who aren't on message boards and boxing websites all of the time. That's the point. These kind of fights being on ESPN could be a huge shot in the arm to boxing, and the heavyweight division.
Thanks for giving the matter some thought. At least you are on the right track here with the topic, and I am not going to bash you for that.:good However, I don't think that they would have ran their budget up too high by throwing in a commercial, or a 30 second segment on one of their daily sports shows just to plug the upcoming fights.
I'm juss sayin that this shows how weak this division has got..Vitali is the best HW in the world....I would never have guessed the best HW in the world woulda been fighting on ESPN...
I did. However when I asked your special ed teacher to grant you the privilege to proceed to the 3rd grade, you decide to prove your school faculty wrong and dumb down further to remain in the 2nd grade.
They would have to pay for footage of Vitali and JCG. Pay production guys to put it together, pay for music etc etc etc. Would I prefer them to do a thirty minute segment on Vitali vs JCG on ESPN 2 instead of say, A bass fishing show? Absolutely. I can just see where ESPN is tied up on this one.
sorry. That makes no sense to me at ALL.:huh ESPN is a sports chanel for sports fans for FREE. How is it bad to be on that?...so other athletes should be embarrassed to be on ESPN also... feel free to pay for PPV. Ill enjoy a free championship fight I think its more of a slap in the face to have to pay $50-$60 to see fights. I just dont see why you think ESPN is so low budget
