Ward has never officially cleaned out 168 only notable fighters he beat at 168 are froch, bika, abraham & kessler. The weight class is still filled with guys he has never fought, the dirrell bros, degale, groves, chavez & potentially maybe even GGG. And to keep it real andre dirrell is the unofficial #2 fighter at 168 if not he is the #2 most talented. He hasn't really lost yet he beat froch in many opinions or at least deserved a draw & he was the first to beat the unbeatable monster abraham. Dirrell vs ward is probably one of the most intriguing fights in the last 10 year's. Degale is a gold medalist & a very good fighter all he needs is a fight with a notable name like kessler, abraham, dirrell or froch to see where he stands. If he beats any of those guys especially froch a ward fight would be big. Ant dirrell, groves & chavez would all be solid fights for ward. People are basically witching hunting ward & trying to force him to move to 175 for no real reason. Froch got plenty of fights & big fights at 168 why can't ward get those same fights like he doesn't deserve those fights even more.
thing is froch cleaned out 168 for ward, if froch retired after the ward fight, ward would be even more irrelevent than he already is ward can't afford to move up to 175, it will be too packed and there will be too many hard fights
:think So...all the other notable fighters at 168lb. How is that not cleaning it out? :huh So...the Dirrell brothers of whom the elder spent a long time on the shelf and the younger only just became relevant by going 1-0-1 against...Ward victim Bika? DeGale, who only just started putting together a relevant streak of wins? Groves who just got stopped twice by ...Ward victim Froch? Chavez? Golovkin who is a middleweight? Is that keeping it real, or is that just your weird opinion? He did lose, though - and I wouldn't brag about him "beating" Abraham since he did so by getting KTFO with an illegal shot.
Why are Ward fans telling GGG to move up and fight in a higher weight division but don't want Ward to do the same when Kovalev calls him out.
Frankly, I've got no problem with someone dominating one class. I have a problem with primes wasting away on the sidelines because a fighter seems impossible to make a match with, though. It's just a shame his careers taken a turn like this.
Once he resolves his promotional matters and gets back to business, I agree, NOW their are very good potential fights for him to take and the public is salivating for. But, unfortunately, tho he is regarded as the best 168lber for awhile now too, he isn't the A side, and he'll have to leave Oakland, especially for the biggest fights. I think he knows that and if he doesn't his team should let him know. I think 2 of the lucrative fights, Froch II and Chavez Jr, he will have to go to their house and beat them there. Same if GGG moves up, but I think GGG has more lucrative fights awaiting with a possible unification at 160, in a year or so. Same with Kovalev. Even with the likes of Groves or Degale, Ward might have to travel, if he wants the $$$. Ward is an exceptional fighter, he proved that as the victor of the Super 6, but alot has changed since then, and with new beasts/challengers like GGG, Kovalev, improved Froch, Pascal, Dirrell bros, and Beterbiev, his real tests might still be yet to come. Ward has said in the past he knows he can't stay at 168 too much longer.
calm down little hans.ward has taken himself out the game.you don't have to worry about ward schooling froch or another european figher again for awhile.bbb
When Ward is back, here are two other things I won't have to worry about: 1. Ward leaving Jokeland 2. Ward taking the test. :hi::hi:
Cause fans can be sadistic bastages at times, and right now many of us just want to see Ward KTFO by KOvalev.
Ward fans lol... talk all day about G moving up to fight ward... complain about people wanting ward to move to 175.
Because he's cleaned the division out, I'm not pushing but I think he should, there's more action at 175 and only fights in that division will help his legacy but you know, it's up to him.
