Why is everyone obsessed with one punch Mosley threw in the fight?

Mayweather fans should see it as a compliment. The guy has only ever been stunned three times over the past 12 years. It shows his brilliance and quick recovery powers.

Maybe you guys are onto something here. Maybe Floyd and Pac will agree to tally each of their career knockdowns, knockouts, times stunned by punches, and declare a winner based on who has the fewest. My money is on Floyd if that is what happens.

People are obsessed with this particular moment because they were soooooo hoping Floyd would have lost to the "old, shot, and needs to retire" Sugar Shane Mosley there. They were obviously pissed that Floyd was able to recover so well and dominate for the rest of the way.

Gifs of Floyd getting hurt can be put up from the Corley fight too. Judah actually gave Floyd a lot of problems and, to many, he scored a knockdown on Floyd.

Pac has been busted up and hurt by Marquez, stopped on more than one occasion by lesser fighters, and in one of those cases he was put out by a jab. It's a contact sport.

Floyd was caught not once, but TWICE by an ATG in Sugar Shane. He handled the adversity well.

Because it makes Floyd look beatable. A beatable Floyd is more exciting than unbeatable Floyd.

Its 2010, not 2002...Chins have evolved and Floyd is decompensating in terms of chins being tested.

Excellent post. It does sound as desperation when they always focus on these three moments, it shows you how great he is because that's all they got. 99% of boxers have been hurt most get hurt in every fight.

Remember in Rocky IV when Rocky was getting the **** beat out of him by Drago until Rocky finally landed a punch and cut Drago above his eye?

Then Rocky went back to the corner and Duke was like, "He's bleeding! He's not a machine! He's a man!" And then the ****ing music changed and you could see Drago having to work and it changed the whole complexion of the fight.

That's why people seeing Mayweather get hurt is such a big deal, even if it's just like a 10 second clip. He's not a machine and he's vulnerable. We've actually seen it. And people are anxious to see if he could actually lose.
