The difference in size - whether perceived or real - is enough to make this fight intriguing on many levels. Despite Manny's speed, I don't see him walking through Margo without a fight.

Like you said, whether or not the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight comes off, there are other options out there.

The whole plaster thing is the only reason fans don't wanna see this fight happen because other than that it makes for a very interesting fight.

If Margarito still has enough left in the tank after the Mosley loss then he might be able to back up Pacquiao and walk him down the way Joshua Clottey did in spots. If that happens then Pacquiao is ****ed... if not, then the fight probably ends up looking like Pac - De La Hoya.

I'm not a big Pac fan, but any boxing fan can see that this fight is one sided, Pac will use him as a punching bag. Just because you can take a lot of shots does not mean you should, and that's all Margarito comes to the fight with. He has no boxing ability and that's something he needs if he plans on beating Pac. His hieght and reach can serve him well if he knows how to use it, but I doubt that's the case. If Pac wants to fight anybody before Mayweather, why not fight Paul Williams? If that was to happen and Pac won, that would we be a huge Statement fowarded at Mayweather.

Even putting aside Margritos past. Most of us would like to see Pacquiao face Mayweather.

I don't blame you for wanting to see a great action fight. After all, Margo does throw a lot of punches. But if that's all you want to see, why not lobby for a fight between Pac and Williams? As arguably the greatest boxer on the planet, shouldn't Pac be fighting someone who can match his skill level or at least come close to it?? It's most likely Pac's last fight so please give the fans a competitive fight. We know what Pac can do against slow, plodding fighters - he destroys them with his speed. Margo-Pac would look a lot like Pac-DLH only a bit more competitive. A guy like Bradley is far more deserving than Margo. I'm aware Margo has a decent fanbase but that's only in Mexico. Pac can still sell out Cowboys stadium with a fight against Williams. Make that fight happen. Arum would have no problems with licensing, blood tests, etc.

You know I would love to see it, but Pac-Williams ain't ****in happenin kid!

Bob Arum won't even let Cotto near Paul, you think he's gonna let his prized possession anywhere within 3 Area codes???

Plus Arum doesn't work well with Goosen when it comes to Paul, and he would rather keep all the money in house. Fighting Paul totally defeats the purpose.

Loaded gloves Margarito does not deserve a pay day. If he got caught in his fight with Cotto (we can never know) with that ****, no way Arum would let him continue to fight in the stable for big paydays. Well maybe Arum would he is a scumbag.

I hope he never gets his license back. He was complicit in possibly destroying Shane's livelihood, the loss of the fame and glory is only a slap on the wrist compared to the punishment he should have received.

I agree, Pac vs Mar is crap, and as much as I would love to see Pac vs Williams. Arum is not dumb enough to allow that to happen, before Pac fights Floyd. Pac vs Williams is to much of a risk for Pac to loose. If he fights Paul now and loose where does that leave him with Floyd?

So Margarito doesnt deserve the pay day huh??????? Did Mosely deserve all the paydays he's had since being proven to have fought & WON while using illegal performance enhancers ??? How many fights was he juiced for before the dismal display against Mayweather?? Talk about hypocrites

I agree. I don;t buy the "don't deserve" excuse either. He paid his dues, and when he gets a license, he will be able to fight. Period.

Hang on a minute there was NOTHING remotely dangerous found in Margaritos wraps prior to the Mosely fight. BUT should Mosely have even been in the ring that night ?? After all he is a proven performance enhancer cheat he fought and WON under the influence:deal

would the fight be at 147? Can Marg make that comfortably still? margs a huge guy, he won't cover up like clottey he will come to go to war and could take it.. his iron chin might see him get a late TKO over Pacman.

How can you justify this to fit what you want personally! I think this is a biased post cause you really want your boy Paul to fight Mayweather. Mayweather vs Sergio is a ppv nightmare. Paul has to beat those other guys lined up in front of him first to boost his name to the casual fan before stepping to Mayweather. Mayweather vs Pacquiao has to happen now for the fans and for boxing. It may not be the fight thats saves boxing but its damn near close to it. Make it Happen and watch the boxing world go crazy!

One thing about me, dude. Everybody knows I'm biased and I don't deny it. I would straight out admit it if that was my motivation. But this isn't really about Paul. I would be OK with Paul fighting Cotto, then Shane, rematching Margarito, then Rematching Sergio, for the MW crown...

My whole boxing world doesn't revolve around my favorite fighter fighting Floyd or Pac. Paul's life don't revolve around Floyd and Pac. Don't get me confused with all these folks on here who only know two names in boxing...:good
