    Do You People Understand The Bigger Picture?

    what shane mosley is in possession of right now floyd has already done that 3 (going on 4) years ago! **** the welterweight belt... floyd already took that and gave it back away... right now its bigger than that... its about being the best fighter in the world.. who cares about a stinking ass belt when were talking about being #1 p4p and being CLEARLY recognized as being the best fighter in the world by the general masses.... nobody gives a rats ass about us degenerate boxing fans... the most important thing is the masses

    the welterweight belt is an irrelevant trinket carried (passed on by floyd) by shane mosley that holds no weight...

    the only thing that matters right now is who will emerge from the big 3... which is...

    floyd mayweather jr
    manny pacqiaou
    miguel cotto

    there is no room for shane mosley in this equation... there wasnt room for him 2 years ago when everyone wanted floyd to fight cotto... there isnt any room for him now... so everyone please stop mentioning this non sense about the welterweight & floyd needed to prove he is the best at welterweight.... forget welterweigh... at this point its about proving he is the best in the world....

    i agree cotto vs mayweather is what i want to see.....

    not another lightweight or and old man fight floyd...

    everything from this point out for floyd will either be

    cotto then shane
    or
    pacman cotto then shane


    its not even about shane being old or anything like that because he is more than capable... its just that shane is not a big money fight.... end of story... how can floyd be critized for wanting big money fights and the same people saying floyd is a ***** for that... revere shane mosley for doing the same exact thing (begging floyd for a big money fight)

    shane vs floyd is not bigger than cotto vs floyd
    shane vs floyd is not bigger than pacman vs floyd


    shane just has to deal with the facts and fight someone in the mean time and hope he wins

    I agree Mayweather vs Pac or Cotto are bigger fights and better for boxing as a whole but I would like to see Mosley make his last big payday I really dont think he has more 2 maybe 3 fights left before he's not the same fighter anymore.

    i personally dont even care about who is the best at welter... i mean the division has pretty much cleared its self out as far as pecking order goes... the only reason people complain about shane being the best is because of the order of events

    cotto was supposedly the biggest threat in welter
    margario killed him
    margarito stole cotto's momentum
    shane fought marg
    shane killed margarito
    shane owns margarito's momentum
    cotto gets pacman fight...
    IF! cotto beats pacman... cotto steals pacmans momentum

    no matter how you slice it theres no room for shane... like i said MONTHS ago... shane should have fought paul williams or clottey earlier.. so that way if he beat them he could have made a stronger petition for the floyd mayweather fight before pacman or cotto could have... now shane will have to wait for floyd after pacman or cotto

    Id like to see Money fight Mosley...but people will just say Shane was shot as soon as Mayweather beats him...even though the same people were screaming for the match and reckon Mayweather is a ***** for not fighting him etc etc.

    Im a little in between in that one...I dont think Shane is peak anymore, and he is nearing the end of his prime surely.
    But he still seems to possess the physical ability to give May a better fight then just about anyone at 140-147.

    Well if Pac-man beats Cotto,I dont think anyone will care about Cotto-Floyd,likewise,if Cotto beats Pac,then the Floyd-Pac man fight goes way down in peoples estimations.
    Lets say theoretically Pacquiao comes out and does to Cotto what he did to Hatton,that will mean that no one will care to see Floyd vs Cotto.

    It all depends on what happens between Cotto and Pacquiao.

    I get the feeling that no matter what Floyd does he wont get respect from some people.
    If he beats Pac,people will say hes just beating the smaller man again.
    If he beats Mosley,people will say he beat an old man.

    The way mosley has acted since his margo win....sitting out of for a year.....calling cotto(who he lost too),mayweather, and pacquiao "primadonnas" then storms the ring right after floyd won.....

    The old man needs to go take his metamucil and shut the **** up, seriously....

    I disagree. Belt or no belt, with Mosley's impressive domination of Margarito, he is now right up there with Pac and Cotto as the best fighters around those weights. It's not like Cotto dominated him. Cotto only just eeked it out. Mosley would present equal danger or even a tougher fight to Mayweather than what Pac or Cotto will. This fight has to happen if Mayweather is serious about securing his lecacy as one of the very greatest all time.

    you only say that cause it was a knock out...

    mayweather totally out skilled marquez... technically it was 1000x better

    edit: plus im sure you probably thought margarito was going to kill shane just like most people did.... not i... i knew shane was going to spank margarito
