He is vastly overmatched. I am glad he is getting a big payday and some accolades. HE certainly deserves it.
How do you expect Maidana to stop them if his punches (and fists I assume) have literally been eaten? :? On a serious note, I agree with what you are saying. Just pre-fight hype before the "surprising" disappointment.
Because Maidana got totally schooled by Devon Alexander, not being able to win even just a single round, none. And regarding his power, he landed all his best shots on an open and defenseless Amir mother****ing Khan, and in spite of landing an impressive amount of power punches, he wasn't able to obtain even A SINGLE KNOCKDOWN, none, on Amir mothr****ing Khan. He has never beat anyone worth of note. He has not earned his title shot. He throws wide, sloppy, amateurish and telegraphed puches. He has no footwork, charges and backs up in straight lines, and forgets the existence of a punch called jab. He cannot win a single round at points, and he cannot even knock down Mayweather once, not even landing his best shot. Mayweather 120-108 Maidana. A glorified sparring session.
Because his style is tailor made for Mayweather. This is an overly aggressive fighter who lacks speed, technique, very predictable and lacks size. Maidana has absolutely no advantages whatsoever in this fight. Expect to watch Mayweather-Guerrero II or Mayweather-Baldomir II pretty soon.
Because Maidana is B grade and hyped up at the moment because he beat up Floyd's C grade cousin. He has a punchers chance and that's about it.
See, it's 95 % Pac's fans and 5% Margarito fans who attempt to belittle the fight. But then again, Floyd's fans did the same to Rios right lmao. #Revenge How many ppvs did Pac Bradley sell?
How come people don't realize Chino doesn't have a chance, not even a puncher's chance coming fight with Mayweather?
I want to see Maidana win just to see the responses from the idiots who say "Devon beat Maidana so Maidana has no chance vs Floyd". Boxing and life doesn't work like that. Not saying Maidana wins but just because 2 and a half years ago he lost to Devon doesn't mean he has no chance in a fight 2 and a half years later. in fact if Maidana does win i think their heads would explode, "i don't get it, how can Maidana look so bad vs a **** fighter like Devon but beat a much superior fighter like Floyd?.
I will be honest here, Maidana has gotten better with Garcia he has a much better jab and fights a lot smarter than he used to. Maidana will be dangerous early until PBF gets his timing down after that he should be able to pick him apart. Maidana's best weapon in this fight is his looping overhand right which can be very effective against the shoulder roll. I expect PBF to apply the high guard while trying to walk Maidana down because of it. Maidana has a puncher's chance in this fight that's about it.
I disagree, I don't think Maidana has a puncher's chance cause Floyd has absorbed all mighty blasts and bustas from people like Shane and Cotto and he just reacted a bit at knee level and in seconds he got back to box plan. Of course, anybody can fail to absorb a bomb and bombs may pass thru but the same goes for Maidana so Floyd would have the same puncher's chance against him and the obvious chance to shut him out.
