Why is everyone writing off Maidana so easily?

People like to say Devon 'schooled' Maidana which he didnt. If he did, then Wlad 'schooled' Povetkin

:good, as Floyd says, he isn't fighting the Maidana from the Devon fight, he didn't have Garcia and Ariza, wasn't in the best of shape and had no head trainer.

Floyd said he recently watched that fight and saw a Maidana who wasn't even fighting out of clinches, he said Maidana looked weak in that fight compared to his last 3 fights. He says he beats that Maidana 12-0 easy work ha.

You know is a mismatch when Floyd himself has to big up his opponent to sell the fight.

Do people actually think Maidana is gonna throw 100 punches every round like he did to Broner

Mayweather will counter him in the first round and land a few good body shots then Maidana will be plodding around the ring like Canelo did against Floyd

We shall see, the early rounds are key though and Maidana needs to do some serious damage early to avoid what you say happening. I'm in the minority but i can see Maidana dropping Floyd early and making it a tough fight.

So do i. Mayweather will get dropped for the first time legitimately. Mayweather will adjust and win a UD similar to Mosley fight. But Maidanas stock will rise from this fight. He has nothing to lose if he throws bombs

Because as fun as Maidana's fights can be, he simply is on a couple levels lower than Mayweather. The guy lost to Amir Khan and lost about every round to Devon Alexader.

I'll be surprised if Maidana wins 2 rounds.

I agree he's on a couple of levels lower but as we say, styles make fights. With Mayweathers age combined with Maidanas ruthless, relentless pressure; we might just see Floyd on ***** street

Unless Floyd magically ages overnight, I doubt it. Maidana isn't exactly the most effective pressure fighter. He's tough and determined, but he's not exactly a Chavez or Duran in cutting off the ring. He doesn't apply intelligent pressure like a Castillo, who was effective at jabbing and feinting close distance.

Maidana has modest speed and his shots are often wide. He'll probably get beat on the inside by Mayweather anyway.

His chin is pretty good but nothing special, and he's shown on more than one occassion that his ability to absorb bodypunches is far from Ali-esque. I would not be the least bit surprised if Mayweather hurt him to the body.

Maidana is easy pickings beating Broner doesn't make you viable for the likes of Floyd this is the epitome of high reward low risk !

Anyone who is schooled by Devon Alexander has not chance of beating Mayweather! It's not because it's floyd that people are calling this a cherry pick. That's what it is, Look at Maidana's history, Schooled by Alexander, schooled by Khan, life and death with 5 years past it Morales, Beaten by Kotelnik, big deal he beat the new Andre Berto Adrien Broner fact is he has been schooled by fighters not half as good as Mayweather, anyone who thinks this will be in any way competitive is a sucker buying into bs hype. They will be left whinging and complaining that they wasted 70 bucks on another Mayweather sparring session

Personally, I can't wait to spend $70 on the PPV fight so I can let Floyd give it to me good and hard. My Butt just tingles in anticipation.
