Why is everyone writing off Zhang Zhilei so soon?

only seen him in his last fight. slow, as expected due his size and age, but given that, i was impressed with his timing. dont sleep on him.

 

havent seen hrgovic, so cant comment on zhangs chances, but hes not devoid of skill, and he can obviously put some weight on his punches.

 

Zhang hasn't been in with any decent opposition either, so will be an acid test for both fighters.

 

Zhang is actually very skilled and hits EXTREMELY hard. The problem with him is his suspect cardio and his age. Additionally his chin never really got tested. But if we talk about pure boxing skills, Zhang is probably the better boxer with the better fundamentals. He has Hrgovic covered everywhere.

 

Even Hrgovic himself said that he will wait until Zhang will gas, and then KO him in the later rounds. So I guess Zhang will have his moments im the first half of the fight. + he has more experience.

 

I agree with @f1ght3rz . Zhang is definitely better than Hrgovic. He will KO Hrgovic easily, before round 7 in my opinion.

Hrgovic will learn his lesson.

 

Him, Hrgovic, Sanchez, Hunter and Helenius are so incredibly overrated on this board. It actually annoys me that people keep discussing the aforementioned fighters as if they'll ever win a world title.

Zero marketability, charisma, ability and ticket selling potential in them lot.

 

Zhang wanted this fight. Either he's trying to find any way to make the most money betore retiring or he's found something in Hrgovic that he likes.

The interesting part is how will Hrgovic's style hold up against a bigger man that will intelligently force the issue ?

I think Hrgovic has some issues and Zhangs underrated in and out movement will throw Hrgovic's timing off but Zhang will just gas and Hrgovic will stop him in the 8th
