KO% doesn't tell the whole story. Floyd isn't really featherfisted, but Pac is known to punch significantly harder as him.

this brings an interesting point....

pacs style inflicts more damage on his opponent... that is for sure

but in terms of pure punching power... measured by PSI (pressure per square inch) they may punch equally as hard..

 

Actually, punch for punch Floyd might actually hit harder but Pac throws more punches and punches more in combination so the sum effect is usually greater.

But, yes it may "fit the narrative." Pac goes for knockouts usually while Floyd is content to outbox and if the kayo comes, it comes.

If Manny had Floyds accuracy and technique, he'd have a 90% ko rate.

Manny is wildly inaccurate as to why he tends to throw flurries hoping one will land. Although his straight left is excellent and usually on the money, the rest of his punches usually miss.

Floyd is far more accurate but he also doesnt exchange so in the ring most of the fighters he fights are in their guard when he starts his assualts. Manny's knockouts come when the other guy is in the middle of throwing punches thus their guard is massively lowered.

The difference in punching power isnt that great but Manny I would say hits harder.

Marquez even said hebwas surprised by Floyds lack of punching power.

 

Well firstly, anyone who calls mayweather feater fisted has no basis, in saying that mayweather's KO % has gradually declined over the years, whereas pacs has increased toward the end of his career for whatever reason who knows!
