Why Is Floyd Ducking The Pac Rematch?!?!?!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Paranoid Android, Mar 3, 2019.

Why Did Floyd Call Out Pac And Then Duck The Rematch?!?!?!

  1. Pacquiao showed too much life in the Broner fight.

  2. Pacquiao will have 2 functioning shoulders.

  3. VADA testing (illegal IVs and TUE were a one-time thing).

Floyd’s not afraid or ducking anyone he’s 42 years old now and it’s not as easy to get motivated to do what you did when you were younger..... everyone is different before comparisons get made

The fight didn't warrant a rematch, it wasn't even competitive. Also PBF is 43 and inactive and shot who wants to see it?

You just don't want to see a VADA-tested Floyd.

I see last night you had another nightmare from the fight on May 2nd 2015. Did you wake up in a cold sweat? :risas3::risas3:PBF is done. I have no interest in seeing PBF ever fight again. BTW PBF UD # 48 now then and forever deal wit it.

I agree, Manny wants and needs it more in order to get his win back over Floyd and to justify to himself that the result of their prior fight was an aberration (and thus, had nothing to do with the injured shoulder which Pacquiao didn't declare beforehand, but conveniently used as an excuse after the fight, all while telling Max Kellerman with a straight face in his post-fight interview that he believed he won the fight). :sisi1

Because it wouldn’t sell 4.6 million PPVs again.

A McGregor rematch would probably do better.

Um, Pac broke from camp because he aggravated the shoulder. He requested the shot as a preventative measure and was rejected over some silly technicality. The injury was real as testified by Ellerbe himself that he knew Pac was having a "terrible" camp. Need more proof? How about the world renown sports surgeon who confirmed a significant tear? The same guy that's operated on Tom Brady, Kobe Bryant, and Vasyl Lomachenko.

More importantly, the fight wasn't on even terms because Floyd used illegal IV fluids. I want to see the fight on even terms.

It's not that difficult to understand.

I find this sad on pacs part. Floyd is 42 and hasn't fought a serious bout in years. Pac missed his chance. He needs to accept it

I don't think it's ducking more than "f*ck that I can't be *rsed training for months"

He's retired and has been really since 2015, just leave him alone

Actually, the "silly technicality" you reference was Pacquiao not declaring any such shoulder or rotator cuff injury on the NSAC pre-fight questionnaire, which was filled in, signed and seconded on May 1, 2015:

    https://news.abs-cbn.com/sports/05/05/15/look-pacquiaos-pre-fight-medical-questionnaire

Under the "silly technicality", had Pacquiao actually declared the injury, I'm pretty sure the NSAC would've allowed a preventative shot or shots of some kind, given that the questionnaire was completed the day before the fight. But because he didn't declare the injury (and lied on the questionnaire, which led to the NSAC filing a lawsuit against Manny Pacquiao) he was denied such a request by them: Manny should've been upfront and honest with the NSAC about it from the get go.

Surely it's not that difficult to understand.
